The New Mutants (2020)
Awful
Nearly fell asleep. Hard to understand what one of the characters is saying half the time. Horrible plot. Completely disjointed. Each one fights their own biggest fear, but everyone has to fight her biggest fear. What!?! Terrible! This one ranks right up there with Halloween 3: Season of the Witch and Ishtar! What a complete and utter waste of my time.
The Last Airbender (2010)
Do not watch!
There was supposed to be a sequel, but this one was so bad they gave up! Horrible acting + a horrible plot x terrible actors = Terrible movie! Just terrible.
The Quest (2014)
Don't like contrived dialog
This is a reality competition set in a "fantasy" situation. One of my main problems with this show was this "fantasy" situation made it seem as though the players can't win. Interviews with the contestants allude to the belief that they feel that they have to "save" the kingdom. It is this kind of contrived situation that I have trouble with. The players are going to play and there will be a winner and the fantasy realm will be saved. That has already been decided. To try to make the viewers believe otherwise is insulting. These kind of interviews were laughable. Quite honestly, the whole fantasy thing was laughable. Ogres, banshees, magic, COME ON! Now, if you want to put these players in medieval garb and have them compete against each other the way knights might have in the middle ages, then okay. To have them interact in a make believe situation and have them perform make believe interviews changes the view of the person watching the show. Either make it fully fantasy or fully reality, but I doubt that would even make this show better. After considering this for some time, I think that the only thing that could make this show better is to have the results of each day more of an unknown. Give the contestants more control of the outcome and the fantasy becomes more real. This makes any interview more realistic.
Christmas Carol: The Movie (2001)
Ask yourself why you are watching this- 2 reviews
If you are watching this with your kids, then you will be fine. It is okay. A little dark until Scrooge becomes happier.
If you are watching this movie to compare it to the others. First, let's start out with the awful 1970s animation. Yes, I know that this film came out in 2001, but you wouldn't know it by the animation. Secondly, Scrooge was nice to mice? Scrooge!?! Really? I don't think so. Next, how could you have Scrooge throw a bucket of water onto Tiny Tim? Scrooge is a mean person, but an action like this would be out of character for him. He mumbles and grumbles, but he gets others to do the dirty work. Let's not even discuss the use of Nicolas Cage as Jacob Marley. Simply a horrible choice. You know, fifty years before this movie came out, the best rendition of this story was made with Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge. So, watch this one for your kids, then when they are old enough show them a GOOD movie like the 1951 Alastair Sim version.
Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers (1987)
Could this be any worse!
So, Shaggy finds out he has inherited his Uncle Beauregard's estate and when he, Scooby and the incredibly awful Scrappy show up, mayhem ensues. First, the Boo Brothers are a total rip offs of the Three Stooges, only it is an awful parody and completely useless with regard to the plot. Not there is a plot. Sadie Mae Scroggins and her brother that live next door are completely useless, as well. The only reason I think they are in the movie is so they can SHOOT GUNS at Shaggy. Yes, I said shoot guns! The Scooby Doo show was made because people didn't like the violence on TV. What a screaming shame! If I could give this zero stars, I would! Run, don't walk away from this movie.
Revolution (2012)
Are any of you serious?
This is the most ridiculously conceived idea for a show. First, electricity cannot be uninvented. If you have running water, then you have electricity. If you have anything that burns, then you have electricity. Everything that has ever been invented that would help to create electricity, guess what, we can create again. Secondly, do any of you seriously think that the United States would fall and turn into some warring tribes just because electricity went out. I am not sure how many of you know this, but there was a time in American history when actual Americans lived without electricity, oh, and by the way without running water, too. Lastly, swords, really? Swords, please!
