Teen Titans Go!: 365! (2022)
Only bots and cultists loved this episode
It was nice to see Zack Snyder poking fun at himself. But the episode itself was unremarkable and less mean spirited in their meta commentary than usual. The only issue is how the cultists are giving it 10/10 because their "snydergod" is in it. The episode wasn't even good! This episode was on par with the Thundercats Roar episode on how bad it was...
If this episode had been about Joss Whedon, I'm sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that the same people giving it 10/10 would be making multiple accounts to review bomb it with 1/10s.
The only chuckle worthy joke was the Titans getting the Snyder (hair)cut.
Mega Man (1994)
While It's Flawed as heck, It's more faithful to Mega Man than the 2018 show.
Yes it's a departure from the Mega Man games. This was made in the early 90s around the Mega Man 4/5 development and release. Which meant that probably they had up to 3 as official reference and maybe some tidbits from 4 and 5.
Back then the story was literally: Wily made 8 robot masters, go and defeat them, Mega Man.
It also suffered from Westernization like Silly plots , incredibly awkward deviations from the source material and yes, they oversimplified Mega Man's Copy ability. But compared to OTHER VIDEOGAME CARTOONS OF THE ERA like
Darkstalkers, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, Double Dragon, to name a few; Mega Man WAS THE MOST FAITHFUL ONE OF ALL. Corny, but it still kept close enough to the source material that it still FEELS like in this case, Mega Man.
Also, to the fool, who said that they hired unprofessional voice actors, check WHO DOES VOICES HERE AND THEIR Careers...
Ian James Corlett, Scott McNeill, Terry Klassen, Cary Chalk (who also works on the new Mega Man... Whoops!) Most of the cast are VETERAN Voice Actors. People who had 20 years in the business BEFORE doing Mega Man ARE NOT UNPROFESSIONAL.
It's not perfect, but it's WAY Better than the 2018 one.
Mega Man: Fully Charged (2018)
It makes the Ruby Spears Mega Man AND Captain N's Mega Man look like masterpieces!
It's Absolute Crap. I mean the Big pile of crap from Jurassic Park is closer to Mega Man than this show. Ignorant fools will say "This isn't for mega man fans. This is not for you. This is for kids!" BS Excuse. You have to be "Mega High!" to enjoy this show. Worst part is that the Episode I watched was written by Man of Action... The Team behind Ben 10... I would request to have the episode writing credit to Alan Smithee ASAP.
The Premise takes a massive diarrhea dump on all that is Mega Man. He's a Robot schoolboy with a tiny annoying robot that acts like a sort of symbiote. The Robot Boy transforms into Mega Man and is a "secret hero".
He's not Rock Light... His Sister is not Roll Light... Dr. Thomas Light has been hitting the Canseco Juice Real Hard... Albert Wily is NOT the villain... He's Aki Light's best friend and a ginger... DO YOU EVEN MEGA MAN!? Right now, the Anime Cutscenes in Mega Man 8 with their horrible English dub are looking like a better Mega Man show than this...
Now in the name of fairness, the voice acting is decent and whenever they go to sprite art it looks good. This should be cancelled and be remade into a proper Mega Man cartoon... Or eliminate all Mega Man references and rebrand it as something else. It could work as a "brand new IP" as a Mega Man cartoon it should be called MEGA CRAP.
Ghostbusters (2016)
Try to please everyone fail at pleasing everyone. (spoilers)
I disliked the notion of a Ghostbusters reboot first hand. Even BEFORE Paul Feig was chosen as a director. I disliked that he was chosen, since right out of the bat, he said he was disregarding the original movie and the characters and making it his own thing. (and gender-bending because "reasons".)Then began the Gender politics crap.
So, the movie. It had ALL the signs of a massive train-wreck, but somehow the movie managed to step up above massive train-wreck. It's watchable, but not good.
-Forced Humor. Didn't laugh at all with this "Comedy" The closest thing to a laugh were a few chuckles on a few Kevin scenes. It felt like a bad parody than Ghostbusters.
-Forced References to the far more better Ghostbusters movie. they kinda derailed the movie.
-2D Characters: The Straightwoman, the Fat One, the Obnoxiously loud Black One, the "quirky" one. There was no real chemistry between them.
-forced "Feminist Propaganda" felt out of place. The infamous Patty Scene, the jab at the Youtube comments, Shooting a male ghost in the groin. Men being evil or idiots. (Rewatch the movie and picture the cast as male. It'll be extremely sexist!)
In the hands of a much more competent writer and director, (and maybe a better cast by removing Jones and McCarthy) we could have gotten a far more better movie. (That would have still gotten hate because reboot) What we got was a mess trying to serve too many masters (GB fans, "feminists", etc.) and not pleasing anyone. Shame that the new " GB Cinematic Universe" is based on this mediocre reboot.
Teen Titans Go! (2013)
meh...
I TRIED to like it, but I just can't. I tried looking past the Art style that is reminiscent of a parody from MAD. It has the original Teen Titans Voice Actors, so on that camp the show is good. The plot... well, it feels more like a web comic or a MAD sketch than Teen Titans. I know the 2003 series had a few "silly" episodes, but THOSE are way serious than anything from this series.
It's not that I'm against comedic takes on the DC Universe cause I love the Super Best Friends Forever shorts, but this show works better as shorts or webisodes than a full show.
Yes, I laughed at the whole Closet-Brony Raven joke, but the rest of the "episode" was not interesting. The Raven Beast Boy interactions would be the general highest point of the show.
What I'm trying to say is that It's not BAD, but it's not GOOD.
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002)
It is supposed to be crappy...
Many of the critiques dissing Kung Pow claim that it is a bad movie filled with crappy dubbing, badly edited scenes and awful special effects... What some of those "Critics" don't seem to understand is that the movie is supposed to be crappy... It is a spoof on those Awfully dubbed, bad Martial Arts movies from the 70s... The movie is no masterpiece compared to other films, but as a spoof of the Martial Arts genre it is an Excellent flick... Steve Oedekerk messed with a classic mostly-unknown flick to deliver his insane tribute to these badly dubbed flicks... this movie is not for everyone, if you hate bad martial arts movies from the 70s, or expect every movie to be as funny as Seinfield, this movie is not for you. If you can get beyond the fact that it is supposed to be bad and wrong, then you'll find nothing "badong" with this movie...
The Punisher (2004)
The beginning and the end screwed the movie...
The Punisher movie is OK. Violent, dark and Frank Castle was pretty much Frank Castle. The movie has various scenes taken straight from the comic book. The ice pop interrogation is the first one I noticed. The only two things that were Way off, in my opinion were: The Origin and The Ending...
Origin: In the comic book Frank Castle's Family (Wife and Kids) were gunned down for being in the wrong place at the wrong time... (Central Park NY) In the movie They gun down his Entire Family (cousins, grandparents, mom, dad, wife, kid, etc.) in another half-assed completely wrong representation of Puerto Rico. (In Puerto Rico there are NO witch doctors, and They DON'T sell shirts with the Punisher Logo to ward off evil spirits.) The logic behind it I suppose is that they needed someplace where Frank could return to the US without needing a passport. Ending: There is only one thing that bothered me in the ending and it was the: "Blazing Skull" Punisher is just looking to "cleanse the world of the disease" Frank can't go wasting explosives just to show his artistic side. That was just pure unneeded eye candy.
The rest of the movie is an OK revenge movie. It was good to see Kevin Nash wrestling on the big screen (Without a Super Shredder costume) In conclusion, it is way better than the Dolph Lundgren version...
Mujer de madera (2004)
Unorthodox ,but enjoyable
First of all this is one of the most violent and gory telenovelas that I've ever seen and Kudos to the makeup artists... The best looking gore I've seen in a telenovela.
Some of the plot is absurd... but I'll let that slide because it is a telenovela. Basically the main plot is: The Tragedy of Marisa Santibañez and her quest for love/revenge/environmental protection. Add some anti-drug message, some boxing sequences, a ridiculous drug dealer who's helping a corrupt politician Become Mexico's Next President, zombies, a devil worshiper, a few psychos, and some strippers, People that were believed to be dead but they were alive and kicking, after all that you'll only be scratching the surface of Mujer de Madera's weird Plot Twists. My guess is that the story isn't meant to be taken seriously and with characters that are extremely predictable... (Carlos, Aida, El Perico, Efraín, Combayo, Cesar, Marisa) my guess is that this is almost a parody of the standard telenovela.
Street Fighter (1994)
Quick! Change the channel!!(Spoilers)
This movie sucked big time... This comes from a MEGA-SF Fan... The script was awful... With the exception of the "Quick! change the channel!!" line from Zangief... The cast was horrible with the exception of whoever played Zangief(Very similar to the videogame counter part.) And Raúl Juliá who was a great actor. The story was a bit lame since the Street Fighter story circles around RYU not GUILE. The scriptwriter destroyed the characters. Ryu's a natural fighter and Ken is a mega-rich dude... But they are trafficking illegal nerf guns... Chun Li the Interpol detective a REPORTER?! Blanka's name is JIMMY, not Charlie!! It would've been better if they would've stayed closer to the game's storyline (Like the first Mortal Kombat movie) I feel sorry for most of the actors who worked on this movie... I Think I saw Ryu do a Hadoken to Vega but still the movie sucked... At least Van Damme didn't do the split and showed his butt. A Raúl, Vaya con Dios... To the rest of the cast... At least you got paid for this...err...movie
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002)
By the Power of Greyskull I've got the POWER!!!!(Possible Spoilers)
He-man and MOTU 2002 Version awakens nostalgic feelings on those who were fans of the original 1983 He-man and MOTU. The show is really well made and has a great cast of Voice Actors and Actresses. The characters are mostly 98% similar to their 1983 counterparts with a few exceptions of course. Fans of the original He-man and MOTU might find a few references to the original series like the show's Intro Speech by Adam, Cringer's pose in the Cringer/Battlecat Transformation. The show is a bit more action packed than it's '80s counterpart. Skeletor was fearsome back then now he's a force to be reckoned with. Now you can see the difference between Adam and He-man. Some characters have gotten more important than before like Teela. Other characters have lost their chemistry like Orko and Man-At-Arms, and I liked their chemistry. A few things that are missing from the original are the theme song which is etched into my mind, He-mans echo(Thank goodness it's gone because it was annoying sometimes) and the Morals at the end. But nonetheless it's one great show for He-man Veterans and Newcomers alike. I only wish that Cartoon Network could show back to back episodes of He-man the 1983 and the 2002 versions...
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983)
One of the greatest things from the eighties...
I remember when I was a kid watching He-man and the Masters of the Universe, and buying the action figures. After the show was canceled, He-Man remained as a cool cartoon in my memory. 15 years later I pick up one He-man 2002 Remake toy that had a 1983 episode included. He-man's still a great show with great characters and a great story after 19 years, sometimes the morals at the end of each show were a bit corny but it's a kid show. Lots of the characters are pretty real in comparison to other shows. He-man's cancelation had to do with " Senseless Violence" and it being a "30 min. Toy Advertisement" He-man wasn't as violent as some of today's "Kid Shows" like DBZ or PPG. Now there is a remake of the show which it's pretty cool and stuff but it doesn't beat the classic He-man. He-Man might have been a 30 min toy ad but, so is Pokemon and many others... Go and get yourself some he-man episodes and enjoy the best cartoon from the eighties... DO NOT WATCH THE Live action movie with Dolph...The Russian boxer from Rocky 4...
