Nicest SF in many many years
14 December 2012
I found it 'different' then other SF with 'androids'. Many clean spacious shots. Good cast / actors. Nice story, not all action, running, shooting, escaping, but 'intelligent' scenes. So, different, but in a very good way. I have not seen a Scandinavian production i liked so much, since i was very young, pippi long stockings.

An Oscar should go to the 'chinese girl' for best actress playing a non humanoid 'humanoid' i.m.o.

It has humor, suspense, good storyline, and i think if plugged well it might even be a small international success. The whole way of filming, locations, dialogs, all, top level story telling/filming/playing.

And perhaps even a glimpse of a real feature, we are now, busy creating these machines. Not as smart and strong as data in star trek, but very much like real humans.

Fluffy, funny, soft and hard, sweet and bitter all in one!
4 November 2012
Fluffy, funny, soft and hard, sweet and bitter all in one! This show, i thought was written by the stables of Chuck Lorre, made an impact in the Netherlands.

It is easy to watch, funny, a granny with a bite but also funny actress from other series/movies.

Just take it easy, it is lightweight entertainment, it can be a 'whoop' mixing old USA traditions Southern style and the free south California ways.

I liked it. I do not give it a ten, a 2 or a 5, i give it a go. Go on, make a few more! The cast is not yet fully glued to gether but it has promise. The lines/tekst will make or brake, the setting/idea is solid.

Wish i could be on the think tank/writers for this show! :-)

Horror, yes but light, great cast, even greater story, adventures, social, it has it all
3 December 2010
Pardon my grammar for i am Dutch. First, i did NEVER liked zombie movies or series. Another thing is, in this show the dead became ill first, then die, no grave escaping zombies, which is pretty nice. Great show, light-horror but also viewable for a broader audience. No core-gore-only story, yes there are zombies, but not all night and back to back bumping 'horror' that we know so good. You will see some damaged zombies, but that is just 5% or so of the whole show. It is more an adventure series, survival, what humans might- or might not do when the world goes 'mad'. Now i really like sons of anarchy, star-trek voyager and true blood, this is even better! It is a bit 'slow' at moments, suddenly there is action, the characters (great cast!) and human interest, social bonding etc. This show has it all, 10 stars.

Great insight in EU way of working, the years it takes to built a road
16 December 2009
Great insight in EU way of working, the years it takes to built a highway. BUT In the comments i see the movie maker made 1 error: international viewers mostly do not know the way we work in the EU in such cases. If a road, like in this movie, is built, many laws are applicable and even more ways to protest to hold the work up may result in a delay for years. If not all '1000 and one' permits are met, the work has to stop, especially when in the middle of protected nature nearby living area's. The people are no squatters, it is their family home, the children where born there. The parable is great, to be cut off from your existence as you know it, even after years of getting 'warm to the fact this will happen'. This is 1 apart movie, not great, but not small to. Well played, good actors and casting. Different story, deeper meanings in that story. Eight stars ! (I like fast paced movies, ad this is not as fast as the newly built highway which has a big role in it)
