Stormbreaker (2006)

Alex rider, sadly not at his best
6 July 2008
i have always enjoyed the books and was hoping for a bit better when it came to the film. first of though they picked quite a good Alex the acting is very cheesy and slightly unreal. It was a shame that such a good cast should go to waste i.e bill nightly and Stephen fry. The story could have been clearer and though that didn't matter to me as i had read the books and new what was going on but if you don't you might be a bit confused by the end. anyway if you have child say about 7-10 year olds they will probably like this. As the story goes Alex is a normal 14 year old who gets dragged in to what his uncles work. he goes under cover to find out what is going on at sayles enterprise. he test out the new computers they have been making (pretty cool part of the film) and tries to find out why they are being made.
