Rock Haven (2007)
If Gay Oscars were given out, this movie would win in almost all categories
For a change we have a plausible story acted out by accomplished actors in a gay movie. Beautifully filmed at Bodega Bay and Northern California...a real winner and a must see by both straight and gay audiences. A real winner!!! Working in the "industry" and a graduate of the Cinematic Arts School at USC, I can see that real thought and "love" went into this production. The events in this film were so stimulating that I took time to notify many of my friends that it was one gay movie that they had to see and be prepared for their emotions to run high. Many of them have seen it and have reported back to me that they had come to the same conclusions.
The Pilot's Wife (2002)
All in all a pretty good story.
I liked the picture very much and realized at the end that it was not being filmed in Ireland but in Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, the site of the real, disastrous Swiss Air Flight crash several years ago. I have pictures that I shot in exactly the same spot which features the light house which you can see as they zoom in on the crash site at the end of the movie. The end credits did not include any of the actual location sites or credit giving to any of the establishments where they did the filming. The ending was a bit abrupt without mention of what happened to the character played by Scott Campbell. All in all, however, it was better than most of this type of story.
