Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation (2004)
A promising franchise ruined by it's own lack of faith
This movie is probably one of the worst, worst movies I have ever watched and I've seen a whole bunch of the them. My gamer tag online is JohnRico44 and I always get these people who tell me "Man I loved the first Starship Troopers movie the other two sucked." I haven't heard one bad thing said about the original. Anyways when I was watching this movie I could've sworn that I saw two actor/actress that appeared in the original movie but the worse part was that they were killed in the first film my goodness movies just don't get worse than that. This franchise had so much upside to it just like in the movie Hollywoodland, we will never know why Hollwood does things it does.
Jumper (2008)
Seriously better than what I expected
This movie was better than what I expected, though it was still a really huge disappointment considering that I felt this movie was rushed into production. The acting was fine, storyline was really mediocre, the special effects were really good, and the directing was alright. If this movie was 30 minutes longer and dug deep into the characters, also explain the beginning of the "jumper" rather than putting us into the story like here you go know it from here, then maybe be it could've been better. Also the other part of the movie I was wondering about was they were jumping around in the open public and no one seemed to notice that often kind of weird.
8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter (2002)
What it could've been down the line?
I'll be honest with yall, I was a junior in high school when this sitcom first aired on ABC I didn't think I would like it at all. But with John Ritter in it i felt that it had a little potential in it, plus their was something else with it I liked. The acting was great, not a lot of horrible 2nd rated comedy lines, John Ritter always brings his A game when it comes to comedy . This was a great show to watch, and I'll tell you why it was a great show. My father who never watches sitcoms at all, he just watches movies, sports, and law & order, he actually sat down with my 3 brothers and 2 sisters, my mother, and myself, and watched the show I think because John Ritter was in it. I honestly think this show would still be running if John Ritter God rest his soul i wish he hadn't passed away.
The Shield (2002)
The greatest cop drama of all time
I remember back in 2002 watching FX, I was checking out all the cool movies on that one channel. I always usually change the channel when commercials came quick, I happened to drop my remote, thank god I dropped it. Because when I saw that first look at The Shield preview it felt like my eyes were coming out of their sockets. I had to always watch NYPD Blue or Law & Order cause of my parents, they thought they were watching great crime dramas.
So I waited all of January, Febuary, and most of March, and on the 22nd of March 2002 I was blown away. Never I thought that network television could show those things and get away with it, it was unheard of, you never saw anything like that. At that time it was the highest cable rated show of all time. I was so lucky to have been there for this great show.
If you don't like this show then something definitely wrong with you, most of the people I've talked who don't like this show are in between the ages of 30-55 where they have a sense of continuity in them. These people have children their not going to let them see this so of course they're going to say I don't like it, because it's not in the best interest for them and their kids. Also the other part of the other people are the reality television junkies for which I am not a fan of I personally can't stand it, give something that's going to put me on the edge of my seat rather than something that's going to be people getting paid to put on singing show.
Overall The Shield was a great crime drama every episode was great never boring or tiring, just perfect. The perfect ending for this show won't tell you how it ends you have to watch it.
The Dark Knight (2008)
One Of The Most Exciting and Best Films Ever Made
As I went to the midnight premier of Dark Knight I had a sense going in I kind of knew what to expect. And man was i ever so wrong about that. This movie was so flawless the movie critics couldn't find anything wrong with it. Heath Ledger is the best Jocker ever hands down, beating Jack Nicholson by a land slide. If Heath doesn't win the Academey Award for the best supporting Actor then this will be robbery in the second degree. Christopher Nolans is a genius to boot, he puts seriousness and darkness into a comic book movie, cause i referred to the past Batmans except Batman Begins, as corny and not very thought out. All in all all I loved this movie I have seen it about four times that how good this movie is, it is a master piece, it is flawless, it is compelling, it is down right good, so give this movie a look more than once its worth it.
Eragon (2006)
good acting, great special effects , horrible writing and directing
After reading the book I honestly had high expectations for this movie. Honestly you can't blame the cast of characters for this movie its starts on top with the director. Who was this person Stephen whats his name? The movie did not go by the book but what movie doesn't go by the novel when they are copying from it. Here is my in take on what Fox 2000 Pictures should do. Fire the producer, the writer, and the director go out and get Jerry Bruckhiemer let him hire the director and the writer. When watching the movie I could see so much potential of what this movie is capable of producing. I liked this movie but not enough to give it a rating of which I know it should've gotten if only there had been a better director and a better writer. because in most cases a good damn script can bring out the best in an actor.
