Vercingétorix (2001)
You people bash this, but forgive "Pearl Harbor"?!
Come on, this isn't a bad movie as so many of you make it out to be.
It's an european film, for an european audience. Americans will surelly feel a bit left out.
I mean, you guys bash this film, which, aside from a few details, IS accurate, and you forgive "Pearl Harbor", "The Patriot" and the like?! Travesties that change history for the benefit of audiences?!
I for one am happy to see a film on the Gallic Wars. Julius Caesar's "Gallic Wars" remains my favourite book, and it's nice to see part of it on film.
I mean, you bash C.L.'s haircut, yet are willing to look the other way at Pearl Harbor's "nuclear" aircraft carriers, jet-like P-40's, and other such nonsenses.
"Druids" is a good little historical film that should be watched for what it is.
The Daily Show (1996)
Simply amazing
Portugal... you know, amazing as this might seem, we're the luckiest country in Western Europe when it comes to television.
I stumbled upon "The Daily Show" purelly by accident, and after watching the first 5 minuites, I was hooked for good. Nowadays, I watch it everyday, and tape it to select the best bits. Jon Stewart is great, and the correspondents like Helms, Colbert, Rocca and the rest of the cast are great at the "news-comedy" style, and the sheer sarcasm that infiltrates the show is excellent and very funny to watch.
This show is now the top of my daily menu. Even over food.
