A Knight's Nightmare...
7 June 2009
my friend told me that I would love this movie so she let me borrow it. And honestly, I wasn't expecting much. Though I'm a fan of Heath Ledger, I think this was his worst film he has ever done. First of all, lets start off with the directing...it was terrible!! the acting was horrible enough to make you puke, the story line didn't have heart in it, nor was it strong, and way TOO Original and cheesy. The love story is quite annoying.

Secondly, the costumes were hideous and so cheap looking. The rock songs is a joke all right and what was with the lady blacksmith..yeah right!

I love this movie!!
5 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Being sixteen I haven't seen this movie since I was about 3. My sister and I rented movies last week and she got the Little Mermaid (I actually didn't want to at first). And boy was I wrong! I certainly did not remember it and I fell in love with it! The music is beautiful, especially Part of Your World, it was so powerful, the storyboard is excellent, and the color and animation just blows you away! Sure Ariel is a headstrong teenager, but I know how she feels since I'm the same age as her (haha) But I'm glad that Disney didn't stick with the real legend, it was horrible, the Disney one is WAY better! And I love the way they created beautiful, flowing images (like Ariel's hair)the romance is simple but sweet.

Sadly..a very bad film!
5 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Now I was about 14 when the first Narnia movie came out and I was quickly obsessed, the first film is amazing and it's one of my favorites till this day. My friend saw it at the theaters and said how incredible it was and that I would love the film. I was so excited, I rented it out on DVD as soon as I could.. Which turned out for me too be a big mistake.

I was so horribly disappointed at the film. The setting was so much darker then its supposed to be(One of the reasons I love Narnia is because it's has such a happy and colorful mood to it) but this one didn't have that at all! And the kids! what happened to them!! They all got miserable and what happened to the great companionship and love in the first film..they are so rude to one another in Caspien that it ruins the movie. The producers and director did not make a smart move trying to make it a bigger and better picture (I love Lord of the Rings but it had it's own dark mood that made the film, the Narnia movies never intended to have anything dark in it)They seemed to not care about the book and just change things and add things too make it better in their eyes. But the movie itself, the story, was very boring and unenjoyable to watch. Sure the actions scenes are great..but that certainly does not make a movie! Plus there is a much sadder tone to the film, oh and may I not forget..what was with the River god..that was so out there!.

I think the only thing I enjoyed about the film was the kissing scene in the end..u need a little romance...oh yeah, and that the fact Ben Barnes is drop dead gorgeous!! But still, this movie is lame, if u wanna see a good movie..see the first film, so much better then this one!!

A poor love story!
23 February 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I am probably the only 16 year old girl that hates this movie! First of all, it's disgusting kissing scenes and cheesy script makes you roll your eyes or throw up. I have too agree that it was unrealistic and had a happily ever after mood about it...which is not real. The character Noah has a dirty way about him, I mean he's nice and everything but he becomes a crazy alcoholic man who runs around with other women...respectful?..I don't think so! And Allie..Oh My Gosh! don't get me started. She annoyed me soo bad! she was very immature and spoiled and childish! She never took responsibility of her actions! I think that this romance was never true love but lust...if it was love they would have respect for each other, they would know how to act mature and wait till they were married. All it seemed to me was was short summer fling, it was all flirting and going completely gah-gah over each other for just some physical attraction. I think the author of the book thought that if he made the boy poor and the girl rich, it would be an excuse for love because the rich don't fall in love with poor people..right? wrong, that is no excuse for "true love" a rich girl can go out with any boy just to have some fun for a while and then leave him.It dosen't mean it's true love just because of status. I think the author dramatized it a bit too much so if you want to see a good, mature, romance I would suggest Message in a Bottle or hey..Pocahontas

wow...
23 February 2009
Warning: Spoilers
honestly, where can I begin! This was a low budget, HORRIBLY acted film, it was so cheesy it had us all bursting with laughter to how completely retarded it was! the sword fighting scenes weren't even sword fights, they were playing around with some plastic swords they bought at wal-mart and all they were doing was just moaning to try and make it look like they were struggling!! Me and my family was in the mood for a really good action movie one day, so we decided to go to the store and look for one, and there it was The Sawtooth Island movie. I mean it looked so great but when we watched it at home I practically died after the first scene.

Oh and the plot of the film, the story board, the script, etc..was a bunch of garbage that I don't even know why the director and producer even wasted their time making it!! But if you happen to stumble upon this movie..do not get it!!!!!

The worst love story yet!
22 February 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Now let me start off by saying this movie totally stunk. If you want to see a good love story by the same author see Message in a Bottle, now that is a great and passionate love story. But honestly, when I was done watching Nights in Rodanthe I was like..wow, that was so cheesy and totally overrated. It just seemed that the author of the book was overusing his famous plot of killing off one of the lovers, it's getting kinda old. And also the actors, yeah, Richard Geer can be an amazing actor but I think he did horrible in this film, it was almost as if he didn't put any heart in the character at all! And Diane Lane, well she was at least a little better, but was still kinda annoying.

But when I was keep watching it, it got so boring, it dragged on and on, until the storm scene. And wow... he so happens to save her dear life from a falling bookcase, and they all of a sudden fall in love? that is so unrealistic if you ask me! And what was with the part in thowing away all of the canned foods!...completely unnecessary and they were acting immature. And I think the part where Richard Geer had to resolve a misunderstanding with the man who he accidentally killed his wife, it just seemed like that part of the movie was thrown in there just because they couldn't think of anything more interesting. But the toward the end of the movie, the scenes were cut off way too short and you could hardly keep up with the story. The scene with the party was way too short and confusing, and I don't want too get into the next scene but let me tell you, it's not right that people sleep together once and they think they have stumbled upon the love of your life! that's not how it works! and it's definitely not God's way! And then. Oh boy the guy dies...an overused dramatic plot to the story..it can be good for some films but sometimes it's just too much.

Bottom line, if your in the mood for a good old fashioned romance..Do Not See This Movie! I recommend Message in a Bottle or The New World
