New Zealand Idol (2004–2006)
Ah man!
10 May 2004
Oh man,how bad is this show?! I'm watching the finals right now,and after three months of this it has finally dawned on me that this show is not gonna get any better. I think I knew from the beginning that it wasn't gonna be as good at American and Australian Idol, but like the rest of the females in the country I just sucked it in and hoped it would get better. And worst of all,the judges don't conform to the convention of 'roles' of the Idol genre. Fiona is the meanie and Paul is sort of inarticulate. I didn't see anyone who had the charisma to be a great star. Sure some them could sing, but that's about all they had to offer and as we know a good voice is not all you need to make it in the music biz. Ooo,I gotta go-Robin's gonna perform now! I can't believe he got voted out,I honestly thought he was gonna win!

Hakuna Matata- Michael's gonna win! Go Michael!

We need more movies like this
30 December 2003
This is by far the best surfing movie I have ever seen. It has a great story and a perfect cast. Jeremy Sumpter and Eric Christian Olsen work GREAT together as brothers.

Jeremy Sumpter is a very gifted actor. He is unbelievably talented. This movie is just good, clean entertainment, and we could definately use more movies like this nowadays. > Also, the surfing rocks! Mark Harmon has been a favorite of mine for a couple of years now. I'm not sure I agree with his moustache though. It would've looked better on him if it was shorter on the sides. I love the opening sequence, with Skeet (Jeremy Sumpter) riding his skim board near the shore. Skim boarding is fun to do, and fun to watch!

I'm giving it an 11 out of 10! I SERIOUSLY recommend this to any surfing fans, surf movie fans, and anyone who likes great entertainment and hot beaches!

Pretty Ladies (1925)
I can only saw this much
29 May 2003
I only saw about two minutes combined of this movie. It was part of the "MGM comedy parade",but with what I did see,I COULD NOT believe that that was Joan Crawford. The narrator said about her"There she is folks,Joan Crawford.Big eyes and beautiful".To be honest,I thought it was kind of hippocritical for her to be commenting on Bette Davis' "Bug eyes",when her she has bulgy eyes herself. The movie's about a bunch of show girls......well,that's all I could muster. But Joan was SMILING,and she looked quite cute when the camera closed in on her.Dare I say it,she looked INNOCENT,and childlike in a way.Kind of reminded me of Louise Brooks. Barely recognisable, really.Didn't look like the "Mildred Fierce" we all know and love.

What an expeirience!
20 February 2003
I recently plyed "Anita" in West Side Story in my school production of West Side Story.I just love how the story is so balanced(though it can be confusing in a way).Even when I was up on stage,I couldn't help but cry,for real, when Maria kisses Tony and whispers "Te adoro,Anton".My heart just melts, and the rest of me just breaks down,so I guess I was pretty convincing! I would just LOVE to know what is going to happen to all these people after all of this happens? What about Maria, will she ever fall in love after such a loss? This story is timeless, and this film is the ONLY perfect film yet to exist. And there are absoulutley NO boring parts!

Never too young to appreciate a classic
28 January 2003
Warning: Spoilers
OK,i know that i might be a considered a bit young to be commenting on such a classic film as this(let's just say,I'm in my mid-if not early-teens)but i say if you've got it,use it.Just as how Judy Foster uses her knowledge that women have the ability to turn men into pigs all the time(like in THE ODESSY,when Circe turns all of Odesseus's men into pigs)on the helpless, but delightfully hilarious,Oogie(Scotty Beckett)Honestly, she plays him like a puppet! But I like that.I like the way the film takes everything out of teenage life and turns it into an innocent, charming little adventure. I accidently ran across this movie while flicking through channels one day when it came on TCM.I was instantly attracted to it.Believe me,every teenager in the world would love a movie about teenagers from a teenager's point of view, and this film is it!It really made me see the bright side of being a teen, such as goofing around with your girlfriends and making total mockaries of boys, and dealing with issues that i know in a few years i will look back on and just crack laughing!

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SPOILER AHEAD!!!!!

It seems fitting that Liz Taylor(who looks STUNNING and flawless-i don't think her voice is annoyingly high) got away with the older, more stable and mature man.He can be a rock for her,she can run to him, and he's not narrow-minded enough to ignore her. The next time the movie came on,I taped it.

If you have teenagers,SHOW THEM THIS MOVIE.It will lighten up everyone's hearts! And if you like this title,i would also recommend DRIVE ME CRAZY and SHE'S ALL THAT

It takes you away from everything harsh in reality and when you come back, you'll feel like singing will make everything better!
