After the fluff and humor of the first two new episodes, we are back to an edge-of-your-seat, harrowing episode with some unexpected twists and turns. Almost along the lines of "Blink" with its more gut-wrenching moments. Quite a simple premise, yet so much packed into one episode. With allegories to the horrors of the "business" of war and more indirect condemnations of those who go to war in the name of their god or religion.
There were a couple of moments that made me jump and yell out loud briefly at the screen. Very well written by Steven Moffat, who also gives us a little more of a hint behind the arc of Ruby Sunday. One of the best episodes in quite some time!
