See the oh so much better Rankin Bass version.
7 January 2004
I saw this special on Cartoon Network( which I usually avoid at all costs) and I was expecting the one from 1985, instead I got this lame, uninspired version. It may work for some, but for me it simply diden't do anything.

It was basically nothing more than Saturday morning blah. The version from Rankin Bass was so much better. The characters were much more involving, the story was better laid out, and the overall look and sound of it was better.

Surley we are not refering to the same movie...

The haunted mansion !

What a ride, and let me tell you, what a movie! They did everything right here. The sets were superb. They were more like a very creepy Buckingham Palace than the ride, but still great.

The music was very creepy. No modern rock or techno stuff, but old fashioned pipe organ music that suited the film wonderfully.

The characters were great for who they were. Eddie Murphy's jokes were very funny and well placed. All in all, he comes off charming.

Marsha Thomson was beautiful, and played her part as both Sara Evers and.... well I can't say, very well.

The Evers childern were great too , the younger of whom was very mature in his acting.

As far as other charcters are concerned, the maid Emma, and the footmen Ezra, were an absolute delight! Wallace Shawn does any part you put him in at his funniest, and Dina Waters as Emma was extremley likable.

This movie tends to have very scary moments, which I wont go into, but I will say that this film goes on to prove that critics are ignorant. This movie works for people of all ages, yet doesn't dicriminate to the younger set because it is Disney.

One word of advice, though. I highly recommend that you ride the ride before you see the movie, otherwise it might be kind of weird.

Love this show.

This is one of the best shows(and the scariest shows) that have ever been on TV. I must say, the first episode I saw with the Jersey Devil, the possessed prison and the castle, scared the mess out of me.

Since then I was addicted. The best episode in my opinion was "Return to Chillingham". Damn, I coulden't even sleep that night.

ABC has since taken over the once great FOX Family and gotten rid of the show. In it's place is a buch of crap, such as "Switched",and reruns of "Full House". They diden't even do the 13 days of halloween this year. I don't use the word hate to often, but I really ,truley hate ABC.They destroyed what was once the finest show and channel on television.

As far as SPOE is concerned,I don't care at all what everyone else says, this show was the BEST,and knowone can tell me otherwise.

Pond Life (1996–2000)
Hilarious! Everyone can relate to Dolly!
21 February 2003
This is an amazingly funny and VERY true to life show. The animation is simple and to the point.no frills. But that dosen't stop this show from being great.Dolly Pond is a single modern women living on the outskirts of London is a cul de sac community where everyone knows everyone, and private knowledge is public news.Dolly dreams of one day being able to find the perfect man, dream job,and wonderful life. She has two best friends: Bel,her seemingly dull, but kind best friend, and Nobby, her ex-boyfriend who still wants to get something going on between the both of them and still carries a dim torch for her. Dolly's life is hilarious and outrages.See how she trys to adopt a pair a gay donkeys, only to end up with a hideous vampire hamster, goes to Austrailia and comes back the size of a house, tries to quite smoking by taking up a less legal habit, and gets stuck with the roomate from hell! Look at life through Doll's eyes and it might seem very wierd,or extreamly familiar!
