Michael Moore Hates America (2004)
Perfect.
This film is perfect, nothing more needs to be said, but I will anyways. The film does not force any political ideology down anyone's throats. It does not twist any facts. It is simply honest. It shows the inherent problems with documentaries. It shows the problems with Michael Moore. And it pursues the truth by interviewing people who have appeared in Moore's films and giving them a chance to tell the whole (well, closer to the whole) truth, rather than what Moore was able to edit out of them.
The biggest flaw of Michael Moore's films is that they do not allow for an honest discussion of America, this film does.
I'm required to have at least 10 lines... so I'll just write this right here...
Noon Blue Apples (2002)
A well done, engaging story
I just saw this at the Idaho International Film Festival. I loved the movie. I had no idea what to expect going into it, but came out very pleased. It did not take long to capture my interest in the characters and the story. The ideas in the film are thought provoking. The well placed humor adds a great deal to the film as well. A job well done!
