The Batman (2022)
I feel like I wasted 3 hours of my life
It rains a lot and it's dark as hell. The dialogue is weak, cartoonish, and the revelations predictable. It's unecesarrly long, you can cut an hour of it just by limiting the staring. What is the point of the emo batman look? I get the pain of the character but there are so many other ways of showcasing that, without the whole black eyes and vacant stare and stupid lines like "you're not my father" to Albert. Batman to me was supposed to be at least smart and physically capable of taking on some though criminals. This rendition of it feels like he is always one step behind all the time and that he couldn't even poke someone stick a stick even if they stood still. I wonder if they had a laugh when they wrote the script and said "hey, let's make it three hours and give him almost no lines". He almost exclusively stares and has maybe 10 minutes worth of speaking. And the villain is....okay, i guess, when he is not screaming like an idiot. That is not scary that is pathetic. I won't comment on Robert Pattinson, he did what he could, it's not his fault for being miscast or for bad scripts. But I won't be counting this as a good role for him.
There are many more things to say but I will leave you with a stare and a nod 🙄
Rescued by Ruby (2022)
Great familly heart-warming story
I don't even care about all the obvious cornyness and predictabilty and cheesey lines. I cried my eyes out, the story is heart warming. Great message at the end, animals are so great and kind.
The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
Fine to watch but don't expect much
All I can say is "meh". Not a hard core star wars fan, but I have seen 90% of what has come out of the franchise. So, coming from the perspective of a person who is not invested in the world and the characters, I found myself wanting constantly to quit watching it every episode. I stuck with it because it wasn't time consuming, but the story was boring, the acting was not that great and the dialogue wooden and corny.
Bobba Fet is not a credible badass, it feels like he should have died a million times, He doesn't inspire loyalty, he just talks, barely wins fights himself and has maybe one or two good ideeas.
What does it say when the mandalorian has better fight scenes and a better understanding of the situations he is in, in a show about bobba fet?
I don't understand how they can't get it right nowadays with all the money and bright minds and short episode formats.
The Boy Band Con: The Lou Pearlman Story (2019)
Really well produced
I enjoyed it, the story was cohesive, there was a diverse group of people talking about what happened, it kept me engaged. This things need to be told so everybody can protect themselves in this kind of situation.
How I Met Your Father (2022)
Don't bother
I'm flabergasted by the amount of cliches and bad jokes. I don't know if the acting is not great or the lines are just so bad that the actors can't do much with what they are given.
The only personality traits we know are the ones the characters tell us about themselves, you don't get anything from what they actually do.
It feels forced, and boring.
Pretty Smart (2021)
It's fun
Comedies are having a bad decade but this was fun. I laughed at the jokes,i like the characters and the actors are ok. Compared to the other new comedies this was great. Please netflix don't cancel it :)) it was simple fun and we need this right now!
Transparent (2014)
I was captured
I have been a TV shows junkie for a long time now and I can't remember the last time I got excited about a new show like I did after seeing the first episode. This isn't an action show this has a personality based synopsis. I find the characters to be very genuine and believable with just enough of a shock factor to make it interesting without bordering the gross. It's not a comedy, but some scenes have a tragic humor to it that make you relate. The relationship between family members is very real. It talks about divorce, lgbt, the struggle to function in a modern society where classic values are still considered the norm but where you can no longer go by them. It shows an era in which confusion is a major problem and a part of day to day life.
Cyrus (2010)
Why oh why?
I only blame myself for watching this movie.I never liked any of the lead actor's movies nor have I ever found him funny, but I watched anyway. I came to terms with the fact I wasn't gonna laugh the slightest after the 30 minutes of nothing remotely "haha it made my at least smile" happened, but that was OK, at least Marisa Tomei is a good actress. But oh my dear god was this movie down right unbearable. I respectfully disagree with it been at least an OK movie. I might not be a connoisseur in the genre but saying it's a dry movie with some funny parts and a psychological twist too it it's just a joke. If this was that then The Hurt Locker was a Sylvester Stallone action movie. I've seen commercials more interesting than Cyrus, I could have looked at the Christmas coke commercial on repeat for 2 hours and not feel sorry.
Bottom line, the story was overly stretched beyond boredom, the kid was creepy not because of the character but because of the poorly interpretation of it by the actor in cause, Cyrus was not at all the "giant loving teddy bear" everybody seems to see him as but a middle aged awkward, nosy, last resort boyfriend ( just what the kind of woman that hadn't had a relationship with a man in 21 years could find interesting) that stinks of desperation from a mile away. Who on earth thought of casting Reilly in a romantic scene with Marisa Tomei, that poor poor woman? The lines were so simple it makes my think I could have a shot at writing a script and becoming a hot shot at Hollywood.. Come on people, even Die Hard had wittier scenes.
The highlight of this movie was when I drank soda.
7 point something? Really? If you wanna say you've seen insightful movies and brag about how people just don't understand the movie but you do watch a Kubrick picture, at least then you'll be believable.
Crank: High Voltage (2009)
eeerrrm
This is by far the crappiest movie Jason has ever made, including Crank. I know you're not suppose to take the movie seriously but give me a Fu***ng break... the only good thing about is Amy.hot hot hot. I'm a huge fan, but i sure do hope there isn't a Crank 3.If you ever saw Snatch or Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels it's impossible to enjoy this pile of garbage. It almost makes me want to see The Happening again. I kept on saying "oh come on this is too much after every scene, but somehow there was something more crappy than the last one. I never thought I would miss Guy Ritchie's movies. My advice : don't pay money too see it, or /and change the channel.
The Hurt Locker (2008)
Lame
Before seeing this movie my all time favorite worst movie ever was The Happening (I still regret paying to go see it). Not anymore. Since this was a really bad year for movies I didn't bother watching the Oscars. The day after the Oscars a friend of mine brought the award winning movie to watch. I said what the heck, it won, I can't be that bad. WRONG!! I am glad I did not pay to see this one, it is by far one of the most boring movie I had the "privilege" to see. I kept waiting for something to happen, for at least one scene not to end in such a big disappointment. I have seen movies where the action starts in the middle of it, this is not the case at all. This is nothing more than an American propagandist movie that wants to "explain" the stupid war in Iraq, portraying them all as bombers and the American soldier as the god sent life savior of what I did not understand. Of course it won an Oscar, it's all political. Because trust me, there is no reason what so ever for rewarding an unrealistic, boring, poorly directed, propagandist movie I would under no circumstance advice anyone to watch. I feel sorry for the actors, Ralph Fiennes and Guy Pearce did not deserve to have such a meaningless, short appearance in this useless movie. Kudos for Jeremy Renner who does a great job in portraying a mad, over the top soldier with no regards for anyone but his own thrill. I guess they let this one slip, Americans have no concern to anyone but their own interest, no respect for ranks or their own jobs, drinking, fighting, not obeying orders. I see no pride in that. I actually sympathize with the Iraqies in the movie.
6 Oscars won? How stupid do they think we are?
