Standing ovation from me
18 November 2019
Well, I just watched the final episode, and all I can say is WOW. Well done to the writers, and the overall quality is excellent. I love the use of the old Parliament house chambers. The cast give powerful and emotional performances, particularly Deborah Mailman as Alex Irving, Rachel Griffiths as Rachel Anderson and Harry Richardson as Jonathan Cosgrove. Celia Ireland as Tracey Helliar is really growing into her part. Shantae Barnes Cowan as Jess Clarke is a natural, taking us all with her. Gosh William McInnes as Laurie Martin has come a long way since Sea Change, always brilliant. To all the cast and crew, thanks for this very entertaining series. It will become a classic.

I loved everything about it. The sets, the story, the cast, the bad guys etc....this series can last for years, and I hope it does.

Game of Thrones: The Dragon and the Wolf (2017)
Season 7, Episode 7

WOW - Brilliant, Amazing, Outstanding.
27 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
WOW … I think this series is excellent, and this episode is "edge of your seat" sensationally amazing. From start to finish, all levels of the episode from the plot, all acting, the music, all sets and CGI were some of the best I have ever seen on the screen, ever! The apprehensive meeting in the dragon pit; a key players well deserved death; Theon getting some guts; the ongoing nasty narcissistic actions by the evil lying creature Cercei (hope she gets her "just deserts"); Jaimie's judgement between honour and betrayal; Sam getting back to Winterfell and his brain-numbing discussion with Bran about Jon's heritage; Jon and Dany's relationship moving to a different level, and the action at the wall by the Night King, left me mentally exhausted. I will give this episode 11 out of 10 stars if I could. Well done to all involved…..WOW

Wow, what a great series
13 June 2017
Well done Netflix. What a great series. I binge watched all the 8 episodes in one day and still wanted more. I am left wondering a lot of things after the final episode. I also have questions about Will's dog. I think there is something special there. Why was the dog in the house was when Will came bursting home and no one else was there at that time? Wow, what a fantastic cast. They all work together so beautifully. Some absolutely magic performances and I can see awards being won by this show and individuals in the cast. Millie Brown is a natural. A real special talent indeed. I was really taken by Millie's facial expressions. I must say that Matthew Modine played an outstanding slimy rat. I did not like his character the first time I saw him. Well done Matt. Not really wanting to single out any individuals from an equally terrific bunch, but I hope credit is given to great performers. I was just blown away with the 1980 props eg: that left over from the 70's teak timber wall panelling; sickening colour schemes; the technology of the day (phones and walkie talkies) various furnishings, ornaments (I noticed the glass Christmas tree which came full of chocolate coated nuts), cloths, and hair styles etc which were all gorily awesome in their detail. Was it really that bad? It is full of fun clichés but it's like a good book you can't put down. I gave it a 10 star rating, and I thank all those involved.

I would class this movie as a C+ or B-
7 April 2016
I was hoping this would be an enjoyable family movie, but I was sadly let down. I found it to be very predictable, schmaltzy, has a poor story line, average acting, obviously low budget, poor camera work, poor lighting, average sound and directing. Like many movies these days, it was garbage. It was soooo pathetically mindless with things starting so bad for all the characters then like magic, everything ended so fantastically for everyone. I think this movies market was for the lower socio economic, wrestling fans of the extreme right wing bible belt of the USA. I must say, that whenever Diahann Carroll came on, the quality lifted considerably (which wasn't that much) and I have never seen her before. I think the part she had to play in this movie was obviously WAY below her capabilities. I suppose I have been spoilt by some of many priestly classics like Going My Way (1944), Boys Town (1938), It's a Wonderful Life (1946) or even Sister Act (1992). Is this movie worth your time? I say no! We are all entitled to our opinions and this is mine.

What a great movie
13 August 2015
What an enjoyable movie. I note that it was made in Australia but you would never know. Most of the movies I see these days are terrible. The acting, dialog, script and environment are bad to average. With this movie I would give it 8 to 9.5. I don't want to give the main theme away, but it twists and turns around time travel agents, who are protecting the time line. They are after a mystery terrorist bomber, and I was often left feeling "Gosh, I didn't see that coming". No real blood and guts, and very little computer generated stuff. One of the main characters, called John, does an awesome job, and he did an awesome job of acting when I first saw him at the bar. It got me in from the start, and I stayed with it till the end. The backgrounds were excellent however the Cinematography could have been a bit more innovative.

Great Series, Great fun watch
27 June 2013
There is NOTHING about this series that I do not like. I think you should watch the movie first, however it really is very well done indeed. Its one of those series you want to keep watching, its just a pity that it finished up. The idea of a language combination of English and Chinese is very logical and quite likely. All the characters are great in their own way, even the stuffy doctor/older brother. The spaceship is ugly but in the nicest possible way. The adventures the characters have are excellent with a bit of humor thrown in. Its like the American Wild West in space, and perhaps they may be the next "wild west" Well done to all involved!

Touch (2012–2013)

Sad but understandable
24 June 2013
Great acting, great plot, great production, but it was ready to finish and it was finished really well.

I have enjoyed the series very much. First of all, the writing in this episode was so great and I love Trevor's role near the end of the season. Kiefer Sutherland did an excellent job with acting this episode, but that doesn't surprise me much because he is a great actor. "Levithian" (the episode name) was just a great way to wrap up the series. Jake and Amelia's escape was very entertaining because the writers actually brought the little red car back from season one. It was scary when Jake and Amelia were unconscious and was scarier when the guy who was in charge of getting the sequence from Jake and Amelia, tried putting a tiny knife up to Jake's neck when Martin broke in (played by Kiefer Sutherland), Martin however shot him to prevent him from hurting Jake. Couple of very scary scenes there. The end was still very dramatic with Amelia on the verge of death because she is unconscious because of the drugs she was put under to knock her out. Thanks to the shot that was put into her chest by Calvin, she survived. It was sad when Jake and Amelia were in their "dream" and Amelia was basically dying, although it was very emotional because Jake was actually somewhat crying and very sad because he actually found someone that understands and him and whom he can actually have a conversation with with. Once the police and FBI came to bust Aster Corp for all of their mischievousness, it was all over. Everyone from Aster Corp was arrested and Amelia was alright. A great job by the writers in the way they ended this series. With the end of this series, there are still questions. First is that "if" the show were to get a third season, would it be dedicated to finding Amelia's father? Another is that Amelia says that she can't see the numbers and sequences anymore. Does that mean she is no longer one of the 36 righteous ones? Also, Jake said that he has/had more to say. Was that a possible look into season three, for him to talk more? Last of all, Martin said it was time to get back to their normal lives. Does this mean that he would start working for "The BreakWire" with Trevor? Overall, a great end to a fantastic TV series.

What a stupid movie.
2 June 2013
I think this movie is supposed to be some form of satire or comedy, but I did not find any of it funny. I thought the bad language was a real "turn-off" and quite unnecessary. I also thought that the plot was "all over the place" and seemed to fall apart everywhere. In the main, I found the acting terrible. The effects (if you could call then that) were average to poor and overall, it was just an awful movie. I need to provide 10 lines of text, but I am finding it very difficult to say more than yuk! To provide my 10 lines of text, I think I will just summarize a couple of times, by saying "don't bother", "don't bother", "don't bother".
