Consequence (2003)
Not too Shabby
This isnt a bad watch! Armand Assante puts on a good show; I enjoy his work. If you have seen his 2002 film "Last Run" and enjoyed that as I did then you will enjoy this flick...... The direction is superb with great action scenes to fill in any gaps. Out of ***** (5 stars) I give this film *** 3/4 stars, good Saturday evening film.
A Midnight Clear (1992)
Not a Bad Watch
I must disagree with the other viewers comments on the film being terrible. Now it isnt no Saving Private Ryan, but it's not suppose to be either. The film is set in 1944 with the Germans being backed up into their homeland, and is about a squad of soldiers sent off to complete a mission. Now w/o giving any of the plot away I did like the film, and if you have any interest in WW2 like myself you will enjoy this film. The acting is above average, and the films setting is superb! Ghost Ship (2002)
Enjoyed!
I personally enjoyed this movie, grant it, it's not a big budget flick; but all in all it's very entertaining. For a horror movie it did have a good twist or two incorporated into the movie. The acting was pretty good, no oscar performances, but hey, it's no Gladiator either, just a good old spook-fest. Now I definitly say watch it, I'm sure you will enjoy it even though some viewers comments aren't very praising! dave
The Transporter (2002)
Transporting the Action!!!!
I just watched this movie, and being a fan of Jason Statham (sp) especially from "Snatch" I must say he's on top of his game in this flick!!!! The action is just a little hard to swallow at times, but hey it's 2003 you have to keep an audience interested!! I liked the chemistry between Statham and the female lead (name slips my brain) although be it overdone in a million movies, it still caught your attention. ***SPOILER***** one of the best parts of the film is the opening car chase scene, best part being when he jumps his car onto a moving car carrier, then after some nifty shooting backs off of it to continue eluding the fuzz, WOW!!!!! I highly encourage all to rent, or buy this flick, you wont fall asleep, promise you that! On my scale it get's a 8 out of 10, mainly for the action itself! Dave "Fritz" Gilbert
Instinct to Kill (2001)
Same old Stuff......
I watched the movie thinking, hmmm Mark Dacoscos, I liked him in Drive from 1996, so maybe this wont be bad, WRONG!!!!! This movie is a 100% "B" movie, and a B- at that.. I seen everything coming an hour before it occured; this story has been done to death a millions times. Every actor has a stinker now & then, this is Dacoscos stinker!!! I give it a 2.1 out of 10, pretty bad!
The Grey Zone (2001)
Off the Mark.......
I was really excited to see this movie, being a Harvey Keitel fan, but now I wish I would've left it on the video shelf at my local shop. The plot in the movie is spotty at best, most of the film I kept asking myself "Whats happening??" This isnt one of Harvey's better films, although with a different director, and better writers this story could be told in the right light, and could be a possible winner??
City of Industry (1997)
Keitel All the Way!
This movie was written for Harvey Keitel, it fits him like a glove; and Stephen Dorff playing the antagonist, it is a perfect fit as well!!!! These two go back and forth like a Leonard-Hearns fight from the 1980's, blow for blow. There was a few slow spots, but all in all I highly enjoyed this film, I suggest giving it a view.
