Nunzio (1978)
A movie way ahead of its time...a must see.
The first time i saw this movie was when pay TV just started. known back then as WHT for 18.00 a month..I was stoned off my face when i saw this with a close friend and let me say i was so into it. the cast was perfect and let me also say i was in love with Jo Jo played by Vincent Russo. what a hot man indeed..a very down to earth real life picture that most anyone can relate to..this movie should be aired today. so underrated.in 1978 i was 20 years old and knew what i was about and into..this movie could turn a total wise mouth bully into an understanding and caring person with a little help .I give this great movie a must see before you get old.
Chisum (1970)
A whole cast of great looking men
Of all the John Wayne movies i have ever seen this one with such a cast a sexy good looking men takes it all. first lets start with billy the kid Geoffrey Deuel. my God what a babe then comes Garrett dreamy blue eyed Glenn Corbett..also blond hair Richard Jaeckel ..plus a dash of Christopher George..men like these are not made anymore..i was a young kid in 1970 ...12 years old as a matter of fact..and this movie made me know what i was..talk about butterfly's in the stomach...well it went beyond that..there was about 4 more hotties in this movie that raised my you know what.sorry this review is so one subject but i have to speak the truth..it was movies like these that helped me grow up..and sad that many of these great actors are gone..like the great Jackie Gleason said..away we go !!
If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium (1969)
Another Great Time of the past
When I first saw this movie in 1969 I was 11 years old and was already realizing my own sexual preference. watching a young Ian McShane was very stimulating to my desires but the one that stole my heart was Luke Halpin who in this movie was 22 years old. I had more butterflies in my stomach watching him then i ever did in my life. The whole movie is very well done and its the kind of movie everybody in the family could watch with total ease and enjoyment..movies like this are not made anymore. The world was a different place back then.. and its sad we today have lost that way of simple living in America..
Pages of Death (1962)
A remake in needed
If I could do this film over again it would be most loved by the left and myself. Paul is such a very sexy good looking guy that i would have to make him a gay person who has a ton of male porn and magazines in his secret draw. but there would be no death in this remake. Paul finds a very eager and willing friend to bring home after school and go at it like two horny kittens..but later the friend decides to act like he was raped by Paul against his will.. so all the parents and cops get involved to blame poor Paul for his dirty deed. but just as the cops are about to take Paul away to the funny farm. The so called friend victim runs out of the house yelling to the cops and parents.."Please don't take him away, I'm sorry for what i said..I Love you Paul..The parents faint from the shock of what they just heard and the cops shake their heads like Joe Friday for about two dozen times..and Paul and his friend, now turn into lovers, kiss and embrace then walk away down the street heading for the beach..The End.

A comedy ? Oh about what. Oh I see about stupidity and dying
I tried to watch this so called comedy but like a visit to the dentist I wanted to get the hell out of there. From the very beginning you are totally aware of what this movie is going to be about. this so called laughing in the face of death never went over well in any movie. and of course all people concerned in the plot seem to be missing one key element. A brain to think with. how sad to see that most people in this world don't look at gay life as one big miss hap with love and sickness and even Aids as just one of those things. The entire plot was for the birds. no real point is made about anything. Like a tossed salad with too much of everything you don't really see what your getting. My advice is this should of been called "Alice in Wonderland"
The Sons of Katie Elder (1965)
The Movie that did it all
The very first time I saw this I was 7 years old. I saw this at the Westbury Drive in of Long Island New York. and i must be very honest that this was the movie that made me realize what i was about. It was love at first site for Dean Martin and Michael Anderson Jr. and to make matters more intense, there is a small dialog that really caught mt attention. This was the part when Bud was telling the story about him being accused of stealing a horse. he says during the story that he "got up and changed his pants". after Matt says that's not such a great story, Tom says " I like the part of when he changes his pants" I think i was in seventh heaven after hearing that. I was not happy with the ending. none of the brothers should of gotten killed. I would of did the end much different. after Morgan Hastings got his just dues, the boys would of gotten the ranch back and all would live happily ever after..Sorry but this was and still is my most loved John Wayne movie.
Lost in Space: The Promised Planet (1968)
love at first sight
I was 10 years old when i first saw this episode and it was love at first sight when i saw Gil Rogers. Talk about the American beauty. he had what it took to make it big in Hollywood. But what happened. after this he is no more to be seen. outside of the movie "yours mine and ours" 1968 with Lucile Ball. plus i must mention in this movie he shows off his very sexy shirtless and hairless chest for a few seconds.Gil had that great blond hair blue eye dreamboat look. i just cant figure why he faded away from the camera. I just hope Gil is alive and well. last thing i read about him was that he was playing guitar for Johnny Mathis. But coming back to earth the Promised plant episode was a great one and the music was very cool. Thank you Gil.
Touched by an Angel: The Violin Lesson (1996)
Lawrence Monoson at his best
I was never a fan of this silly series. but when I found out that Lawrence Monoson was playing a very risky and out of the norm part I had to see it. A hottie from way back to "Mask" days. he was older and much better looking. My Type indeed. he gave a great performance to say the least. For some reason i always thought Lawrence was gay in true life. i just felt that connection when i saw him in Mask 1985. but he steals the the whole show in this part..why he did not make it real big is true wonder. he has shown his talent in the movies has been in. If you ever read this Lawrence..God bless you for taking on a role that many Hollywood actors stayed away from back in those day. I have lost about 6 close friends to AIDS and this episode that i only just saw on 3/19/17 blew me away all over again. sorry i was 20 plus years too late. but better late than never.
Johnny Doughboy (1942)
A sad but true story of child stars.
This movie really got to me. seeing those kid stars almost begging for a job and singing about their career ending did not help me enjoy the rest of the film. They were given a small part and then they were seen no more..even at the end when the show is done for the troops the kids are not even in it...very bad ending indeed..this movie does not put a smile on your face at all.Bobby Breen gave his last appearance in this film. Spanky too faded away after this..Alfalfa did last for other movies but we all know how he ended in 1959..most of these child stars are not even talked about today..This has been the Hollywood curse for many years. and was worst back then.
You Can't Get Away with Murder (1939)
Billy Halop does it again
It is amazing what a great actor billy halop was. he was the best of the east side, dead end and little tough guys series. to me gorcey was so annoying to the point you did not even want to watch the rest of the movie. I give this movie a 8 out of 10 only because of billy. its sad how his career went down hill so fast after 1946.and the same for bobby jordan who also was a great actor.the best movie to me billy was in was "they made me criminal" with John Garfield. and again billy and bobby were at there best. The rest of the gang also did a performance like a well tuned orchestra. No group of actors today can compare to the fine talent of these masters. this is why Hollywood today is such a trash place.
An Early Frost (1985)
A very needed Movie for the times.
The first time i saw this i was very moved. Yes indeed people were dropping like fly's back then. but it seems today people don't care about such things and bare backing is the way to go. such fools people can be when they think the storm has passed. way too many have died from AIDS and way too many will still. For a TV movie this was way ahead of its time. the cast was very good and all did a fine job. Aidan Quinn was just perfect for the part. he and I are the same age so it was very easy to connect with this great actor. most Actors back then did not want to play such parts. Today things are so different and its very the norm for actors to play gay roles.
The Mist (2007)
A Total waste
Take alien 1 and 2. the Monsters on elm street. The fog. etc etc. and you have trash soup. the ending was a total joke. this odd approach with people going after each other is so played out. but it only tells us Hollywood can never come up anything new. The simpler and better movies of yesterday horror are the real home run hitters. this and other remake twist around plots don't work..because we can spot all the copy cat ideas. but this is how most movies are made today. the past was done and now with high teck computer images they can ruin a once great classic. this is such crap and this is why i don't pay to see movies. bless the free views
The Middleton Family at the New York World's Fair (1939)
A great film of a great time
This was like the Brady Bunch of 1939. but a great movie and a joy to view..its a shame life was not the way this film intended it to be. the actors all worked well with each other. the maid was super and so was grandma too. and to think that World War 2 was just around the corner.
