Bay's best!
17 March 2022
Just saw this film and LOVED IT! Bayhem action, great drama and a true Bay-directed wild ride. The three leads are great - Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Eiza Gonzalez. The support cast are really strong too, especially Garrett Dillahunt, Keir O'Donnell, Olivia Stambouliah and Cedric Sanders. The soundtrack and original score are amazing. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's got to be one of Bay's best! Bad Boys, meets Speed, meets Heat. 10/10 from me.

Important documentary

A great doco produced by Penny Chapman and Matchbox Pictures for the ABC. A light is finally shed on the untold stories of refugees coming to Australia. Great narration too. A must watch.

Throat Lolly song is brilliant
23 April 2021
My favourite sketch in this episode was the throat lolly song which pokes fun at the way some recording artists put on fake voices just to sound cool. Hilarious sketch. Ben Elton's work here and his choice of comedic actors is spot on. That's why he's comedic royalty! Ten points.

Toughy Nightly interview is my favourite
23 April 2021
The big interview with Toughy Nightly and Prime Minister Julia Gillard is hands down fantastic. Reminds me of the brilliant Aussie satire Frontline character Brooke Vandenberg played by Jane Kennedy. Such a great spoof on those cheesy 60min interviews. Love it. 11/10.

Girl Flat is my favourite sketch. Brilliant comic timing by actor Olivia Stambouliah who plays Amy Winehouse. She stole the show! 10 stars!

Hauntingly dramatic re-enactments
23 April 2021
This is the best episode of the series. Australia's most infamous criminal Ivan Milat was so hauntingly depicted in the dramatic re-enactments in this episode. Great performances for what must've been a very emotionally and physically traumatising shoot for the actors involved as they're all portraying real life victims or criminals. Seriously worth watching. Important series and very informative. I give it a strong ten.

Incredible true-crime series
23 April 2021
Steve Liebmann leads an incredibly in-depth and compelling factual series based on Australia's most infamous crime. Ivan Milat: The Backpacker Murders episode in particular was a stand out for the haunting re-enactments. A must watch for true-crime lovers. I rate this series ten out of ten.

Beautifully made children's series
22 April 2021
Amazing performances from all the cast and such authentic storytelling that delves magically into the history of Australia through the lens of each child. Matchbox Pictures and Penny Chapman produce some of Australia's finest television and this show is undoubtedly up there. Just beautiful. Ten stars.

Bring back Voula!
22 April 2021
Such a great series! I want Voula to get her own spin-off show with Effie (Mary Coustas) as her cousin, called Keeping Up With the Karandonis'. Greek-Australian's everywhere will roll over like dolmades to see this.

Blackadder genius SNL-style comedy
22 April 2021
Undoubtedly, viewers will enjoy the brilliant take off of Amy Winehouse (Olivia Stambouliah), Julia Gillard (Paul McCarthy) and Dame Edna Everage-style interviewer Elaine Front (Genevieve Morris), all of which are comedy gold! Ben Elton seems to have handpicked Australia's finest comedians including guest appearances by A-listers Arj Barker, Fiona O'Loughlin and Tim Minchin. The closest Australia has come to an SNL-style live sketch comedy and variety show, by no other than Blackadder genius, Ben Elton. Brilliant. Ten out of ten.

Beautifully haunting detective thriller
22 April 2021
One of those Aussie gems directed by no other than Cate Shortland (Somersault, Lore, Marvel's Black Widow), whose nuance and underlying psychological drama creates a thrilling and raw experience for the audience to delve deeply into the characters journey. Produced by Jan Chapman, one of Australia's finest, and beautifully performed all round, led by the wonderful Richard Roxburgh. Highly recommended. Ten stars.
