Bullwhip (1958)
EXTREMELY "OMG" YOU DIDN'T..
When Ms Rhonda pops out of her covered wagon with her perfect makeup and bright red lips and that designer 'Indian drag" outfit with the beads and fringe and the big feather and, oh, that tough pouty look... Haven't we done enough to the natives without suggesting they wouldn't fall down laughing at such a sight. Please girl.

Not Sure Even Though...
I've enjoyed the first episodes and it has been very much like a Stephen King / Dean Koonz good book. HOWEVER: I just read this is coming from the makers of LOST. Much as I enjoyed much about Lost, there has never been a story that so totally ruined everything by their extraordinarily contrived ending. Closest I ever came to throwing out my television. I think that many of us felt cheated of our time because it seemed they just kept making up unusual things and plot lines to keep us watching but never really had a real conceptualization to wrap the series. Just doing the "God did it so you can't ask..." was the biggest flop in television history. I think if they want us to "purchase their product", again, we deserve to know if they have a real story going. Not just dramatic gore with no real ending or anykind of ecplanation. Will the last episode of the series just be the Devil pops out of the ground and. Surprise!! Everyone is going to Hell, this time ... or something worse just slappec together to make a final show
In the first episode, I thought it was another Salem's Lot..
House of Bones (2010)
Surprise in an over used idea.
This movie with it's TV fake ghost hunters go into a place that has "real" dangerous ghosts and demon types and they get trapped, etc. Has been done many times and rarely rise above 2 stars in.a 5 star rating. I came across this one on a cold winter late night and began watching. SO I give it a nice "MAKE SOME POPCORN AND SEE.." rating. It is done quite well with filming, sets, camera work a solid B level. A B+ in some effects and jumps. The acting and actors are very good. No stumbling around or hammy performances and I try to always respect the honest efforts of young actors who give it their best. I remember seeing Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt and Demi Moore in their early. First roles in B Horror films. So this film has good actors doing decent performances in a scarey haunted house Flick. I recommend it and I won't go any farther because I really resent spoilers whether they come from fans who mean well or small minded people who decide to try and ruin movies they don't like by giving plots away. Give it a try, if you like. & a bowl of popcorn wouldn't hurt.
Legionnaire's Trail (2020)
WHY? WHY? WHY?
How could anything so terribly acted from the very first line that Mickey Plastic face speaks says and from every jerky/hammy step and motion 'roid packed legs stumbles through makes you ask WHY DID THE MAKE THIS FILM. They could not have expected to make $1 profit. Sad in a way to remember a few films he did decades ago that were decent and a pleasure to watch.
SO WHY DID HE MESS UP.HIS LOOKS AND WHY DID ANYONE WATCH TWO MINUTES OF HIS PERFORMANCE IN THEIR DAILY TAKES AND THINK THE MOVIE WOULD BE ANYTHING THE PUBLIC WOULD GO FOR?
(Except for people who slow down to check out wrecks. But few of them look longer than a whole minute and none of them would pay for a ticket.) just a streaming site curiosity/filler.
The Pool (2018)
Wonderful Original and Well Done
See it quick on one of the services before some American company does an American version. It literally grabs you from the first scene and is a great summertime adventure scary. Jaws type film. Much fun. Make some popcorn and share it with a friend.
Evils of the Night (1985)
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
Sad to see actors I like looking so bad. My god, couldn't they have found someone to do Julie Newmars hair? Comb it rigjt at least. Oh well. We all need money. Poor Aldo Ray. He was a big star and very hot in his day. He must have been realy high in this silly wannabe horror.
Strait-Jacket (1964)
Joan and Her Daughter Camp"...
By itself, this is a so-so movie, but William Castle put together a Hollywood camp, Joan Crawford (the eternal victim of the ungrateful daughter) classic. Actually several major stars along with dear old, aging Joan Crawford chewing up the scenery, make it a fun watch. Not even 50% of the level of horror most fans want but that's OK. (Gay gossip: Young, hunky Gay actor Lee Majors got his first role here as Joan's young husband who she decapitated, got the role because friend Rock Hudson used his influence to get Lee his breakthrough.) Good popcorn classic-ish flick. Watch Whatever Happened to Baby Jane for a real decent older Joan (and Bette') classic.
Army of the Damned (2013)
Army of the bored...
Movie looks like someone playing with movie equipment wrote the script day to day. Most weak, tired excuse for a horror movie. Gallons of fake blood, loud metal rock and endless close up of faces and you will not care about it after watching 10 minutes of nothing happening. Just a lot of noise. no horror except for the fact they actually took the time and resources to put this stinker together.
Flight 666 (2018)
Fun Horror Ride, Familiar but with a twist..
This is worth the watch. No, it is not Hamlet, but it is a good ghosts in an inflight airplane. It's horror and a mystery and a good old Airplane trying not to crash movie. There's a great surprise twist worth the watch. Ending is great. I don't need to write an essay to prove something. Enjoy the movie. I did.
Incubus (1981)
Great Horror--Very Brutal and Shocking
I've loved this movie since I first saw it in the theater on it's first release. This movie is not for the squeamish and has extreme violence and sexual scenes. The evil monster is an Incubus. That's the male version on the Succubus and it literally kills through sexual acts. The movie has many red herrings to keep you guessing who is secretly the shape shifting demon. Great story by one of my favorite authors, Ray Russell. Strictly an adult themed movie. Be aware, that unless you have the DVD or are watching it on an uncensored Premium Channel, it will be heavily edited and that you do not want to watch it with little kids in the room.
Mama Dracula (1980)
Late night on cable TV only...
I was shocked to realize that the lead was Louise Fletcher. She must have been strapped for cash. Anyways: It was OK watching on a local weekend, hosted horror flick show. Primarily because of the outrageous filler between scenes. Definitely a movie you can chat online while it's playing. I always wonder what was going on on the movie shoots to films like this. I hope Lousise was having fun. It was 1980 and the free love, hippie, etc stuff was still happening. Very silly movie not to be gone into expecting a Hammer film. And whatever happened to those twins? This was their film debut. There is a lot of nudity but that was just par for the course in B or C films of the 70's & 80's. Nothing graphic. Just a lot of kidding around. Also, nothing scary or gross. Just lots of European slap stick. I wouldn't rent this video if I had to pay for it but like I said, check it out on free TV where you can change the channel if there is entertaining add on's like on a hosted horror show.
