There's Someone Inside Your House (2021)
A Killer in Search of a Motive
This started off well. The people getting killed were objectively awful human beings. But by the time we got to the drug-addict, I was out. Who was he hurting? Why did he have to die? That's a terrible message to send. Maybe it's explained later, but I just couldn't stay on this ride.
Kate (2021)
A Killing Machine
So she's an assassin who's been poisoned and has a day to live. For some reason, that justifies her getting dozens of other people injured and killed in her quest for vengeance. Are we supposed to like this character? Because I quickly lost interest in her story. She's just a fighting and killing machine.
On the Verge (2021)
Unlikable Characters and Unbelievable Situations
I made it through episode two and that was enough. I don't know who these women and men are, but I don't like them. Nothing felt natural or realistic. That can be okay when a script has charm and something new to say. This wasn't that script.
Fearless (2017)
Being Fearless Doesn't Mean Being Dumb
I was prone to like the main character, but she kept doing really stupid things! Things that made things worse for her clients, for herself, and for the family she claims to want. There wasn't enough background on her to provide a plausible excuse for her blind-spots and her reckless behavior. The acting was very good, however. They did the best they could with what the script gave them.
Rent-a-Pal (2020)
Just a Little Lacking
The premise was interesting and the performances were really good. I just don't think the writing was strong enough as we neared the conclusion. I wasn't sold on his transition from nice guy to killer.
Spinning Out (2020)
Lead Actress is Terrible
There are some decent performances, here, but the actress playing Kat is just awful. It feels like something her parents paid to produce. Sorry, but you need more than one expression to be an actor.
