Causality (2004)
Excellent Short film!
I'm usually not a big fan of short films, but this one has certainly changed my mind! I caught a screening of this a few days ago at a film festival here in LA and was thoroughly impressed. The acting was very good, and the directing was OUTSTANDING! i don't know how many other projects that AJ Wedding has directed, but I would certainly be interested in seeing them after witnessing this masterpiece. He tells a very serious, calculated story in an entertaining yet realistic way. The unique camera angles and extraordinary editing serve to keep the viewer on the edge of their seat throughout. I have seen many, many short films at Sundance, Cannes and other festivals, and this one ranks in the top 3 for me of all time. I HIGHLY recommend seeing this film and anything else that AJ Wedding puts forth in the future.
10.5 (2004)
this was TERRIBLE
This complete wretch of a miniseries has successfully wasted enough of my time to warrant a review. The camera work was HORRIBLE, too much zooming in and out needlessly! As much as I hate to say it, the acting was DREADFUL!! A bunch of gerbils and monkeys running around in a shoebox would've been more entertaining to watch. The acting was just completely unbelieveable (in a bad way). The efffects were terrible. The characters were poorly written.. Basically you could've given me $500 and a bottle of Kettle One vodka and I would've made a movie that was TEN TIMES better than this piece of stinking fieces!!!! Furthermore, if I made a movie, it would at least be entertaining!! This was painful to watch!
The Human Stain (2003)
amazing performances
This ensemble cast is AMAZING! Every single actor in this movie gives a performance that is second to none. Although the story lags at times, the impecable actorsmore than make up for it with such brilliant performances.
28 Days Later... (2002)
Scary, but also doesn't take itself too seriously
This movie is like Night of the Living Dead meets the MATRIX! Their are very real characters that you actually care about (somewhat), and the story keeps a good pace throughout the movie. it scares the HELL out of you and then lets you have enough time to collect your thoughts and regain your composure before it proceeds to scare the HELL out of you again! A very, very unique moviegoing experience!
