The Chaperone (2011)

Actually quite decent...

First off, this type of film probably wouldn't have usually appealed to me but as a wrestling and Triple H fan in my younger days I thought I'd give it a go.

I wasn't expecting too much here but actually found this to be quite funny and entertaining. You really can't take this movie too seriously, it's just a bit of fun.

I thought Paul Levesque actually acted quite well and came out with some funny lines.

All in all a light hearted action film that will probably be enjoyed mainly by wrestling fans who actually know who Paul Levesque is. I think that's partly what made it more enjoyable for me to see Triple H in a different way.

Decent enough entertainment so give it a go.

Let Me In (I) (2010)

Better than I expected, very good film.

Not quite sure what I was expecting here, I'd heard poor reviews of the original version which I've never watched myself.

Found this movie really enjoyable though, it was something different not just the typical vampire or romance movie.

Thought the story was great and some really good acting especially from Chloe Moretz.

So if you've heard bad things about it then ignore them and judge for yourselves. Or even if you've watched the original Swedish version and didn't like it, I recommend watching this.

Overall a great story with brilliant acting, a really good movie.

Season of the Witch (2011)

A fairly good watch...

I'd been looking forward to seeing this film for a little while, especially as Nicolas Cage is one of my favourite actors.

After reading mixed reviews I wasn't too sure what to expect, however I personally quite enjoyed this film.

I thought the story was decent backed up by a good cast with Cage and Perlman leading the way.

Although this certainly won't go down as a classic it is definitely worth watching. It kept me entertained throughout and had some good action and effects.

Overall it's above average but not amazing, one of the better films I've personally seen in the last few months.

Dark Island (2010 TV Movie)

Wish I'd been stuck on an island for the last 83 minutes instead of watching this movie...

I wasn't really expecting much from this movie and I was right not to.

The plot has been used a million times before and as for the acting it was more wooden than the trees on the island.

I saw no true chemistry between the actors and felt no emotion for any of the characters.

In a nutshell this movie has an overused plot, poor acting and a cheesy script.

I've seen some pretty poor movies in my time and this is up there with the worst of them to be honest.

That's about all I have to say on this one.
