Call Me Kat (2021–2023)

So so so so bad and only gets worse!
20 April 2021
The only show worse than this is Chad. The storylines, acting and lame jokes will totally kill this show and I hope it dies soon. Mayim Bialik's overacting and ridiculous pratfalls are cringe worthy. I've watched four episodes and can't watch any more. A major fail.

Chad (2021–2024)

The worst show I have ever seen!
17 April 2021
This piece of trash is so bad that it makes me want to smash my foot into the television just to pretend I'm shoving my foot into Chad's stupid looking face! There is absolutely nothing believable about this load of crap. A 40 year old woman playing a 14 year old boy does not work on any level whatsoever! Chad still looks, acts and sounds totally like a girl. The voice is not masculine at all.

Did they really think some asinine bushy eyebrows actually make this woman believable as a boy?! I want to know what pathetic morons gave the green light to this train wreck. You can't even call this a sitcom. It's more like a sickcom. No teenage boy would even talk or act like this unless he was mentally challenged and to be honest, Chad's character acts totally mentally challenged. And enough already with the crying jags! This show is awkward and disturbing in so many ways and makes the viewer feel very, very uncomfortable.

I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH HOW MUCH I HATE THIS SHOW! I watched two episodes, but will never watch another. Hopefully, this vomit inducing horror will be cancelled as soon as possible. Nasim Pedrad, you need to play age appropriate characters. You totally dropped the ball on this one. Blech!

A beautiful holiday movie!
11 December 2020
Hope for the Holidays is a beautiful, touching and heartwarming film. The entire cast was wonderful, especially Sally Kirkland who really shined in this story. This is wonderful holiday movie that the whole family will enjoy. Have plenty of tissues on hand because this story is very moving. I highly recommend it!

Dark Shadows (2012)
2/10
This movie is a travesty and an insult to the original show!
25 March 2018
I have never been so disappointed and angered by a movie in my life! Dark Shadows was one of the greatest TV shows/soap operas ever made, and this movie did nothing to honor its legacy at all. It was a giant piece of smelly crap! I used to run home from school every day to watch the original Dark Shadows on television at 4 p.m., and it was a thrill for me and every other fan who adored the series and the cast. All of the fans were heartbroken when the series ended. In later years, we were able to buy the series on DVD (the only soap opera ever made available to purchase). We were able to buy the Dark Shadows movies, and an attempt to revive the series in 1991 with actor Ben Cross failed, but at least it was a genuine attempt to stay as true as possible to the original series.

The problem is that you simply can't remake something as classic, unique and ground-breaking as the original Dark Shadows. In fact, most movies that try to retell classic TV shows fail, with just a couple of exceptions.

This movie was so boring and so bad that it probably made Dan Curtis roll over in his grave. For those who don't know, Dan was the creator of the original Dark Shadows. Johnny Depp is a fine actor, but he's no Jonathan Frid. I respect his attempt, but it fell way short.

The original series was not a comedy and the lame attempts at comedy were an insult to a classic series that was anything but comedic. The fact that four of the original cast members made a brief cameo in this movie simply proves that they had respect for Tim Burton by accepting his invitation to appear, but most likely they were paid handsomely to appear as well. Who can blame them? Also, I want to say that I have enjoyed many of Burton's other movies. He just should have passed on this one.

I only know that I did not like this film at all. I'm sorry I watched it because it took me 6 years to break down and do so, and I got exactly what I thought I'd get. A horrible experience. Just leave the original Dark Shadows alone! It will live on and on and on without any help.

A Horrific Revival
5 September 2011
Rod Serling must have been spinning over 1000 times in his grave after what was done to his beloved series. Why can't people simply leave a classic TV series alone instead of trying to bring it back years later and ruining what was good about it in the first place? They screwed around with it in the 80s and barely tweaked out a handful of watchable episodes. That wasn't tragic enough. They had to mess around with it again 20 years later. I'm surprised that Forrest Whittaker even took part in this joke of a series. I don't get it. All of these kids who graduate from colleges and universities with degrees in movie production and direction and whatever else they spend thousand of dollars learning can't come up with something new and original? Are they that unimaginative, lazy and/or stupid. Try to come up with your own ideas instead of stealing from the geniuses before you. I could figure out every original episode from the 60s that they stole from to make the most poorly redone stories imaginable.
