how do you end it?
23 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Two seasons and the series has been great. But much like Dexter how are they going to be able to end this series in a way that is justified? If they nail an ending at some point it will go down as a great original series in my opinion. If the ending is weak it will give it a lame finish.

I loved Dexter and to this day still love it but when the ending came around it just seemed like it was undecided and weak.

I loved Chuck and still do but that ending seemed forced as if they found out they were going to be canceled late in the last season and decided to create an ending. Chuck, to their credit, did a decent job with that ending.

Hopefully Chosen will have similar success and I hope someone goes all Rambo 2 and some point.

DVD critics rebuttal
12 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This is not the greatest anime that I have ever watched but it is not the worst either. I believe as the first user to review this series that the characters are good. Another thing to consider is that this series is currently on Netflix instant stream so you do not have to purchase the DVD before viewing it once if you have Netflix instant stream. Kazuma is a character much like Spike from Cowboy Bebop. I think Kazuma makes the series. Ayano and Ren give great costar power backup to Kazuma's main star power. Having made only one season I do not know what to make of the sexual tension between the main characters as it continues to be a comedic, more than a romantic, twist throughout the season. But again while this is on instant view Netflix users should check it out for themselves.

Stop canceling all the good shows
19 August 2011
I have to agree with the other two reviews that have been posted so far. I loved Reaper, I love The Loop, and I loved Sons of Tucson. There are a few other shows I loved as well and they were canceled before being given a chance. I am curious about the ratings of Survivor at this point. I would have to think they are much lower than they used to be yet they keep churning out show-after-show of fake drama.

Day Break was another one that got axed early and it was only slated for 13 episodes at the very beginning. What's the point of canceling it when it is slated as only one season? Viewer outcry at least drove the network to run the rest of the episodes online as I believe the Black Donnellys might have as well.

I think it is time to do more than the Nielson system. I cannot understand, with all of the other unwanted intrusion in our lives, why cable cannot just do real time ratings as well as take into account DVRs, online viewing, etc...

Book>Movie (Reply)
17 April 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I agree with the reading of the book making me disappointed in the movie. Two of the scenes of I was looking for forward to were the Langdon fight scene in the fountain (pretending to drown) and surviving the helicopter on a 'window covering' I think it was called.

So many scenes were taken out. It just changes the whole story even though the plot line start and ends essentially where it's supposed to.

A Man Apart is a good example of expecting something that never happens. Preview has Vin Diesel saying "Baby don't watch me now," when he is at grave of wife but scene was deleted in movie. I waited the entire movie for that line and it was a let down that it wasn't there.

It also annoyed me that the movie (Angels & Demons) is taken on as if it happens after The Da Vinci Code. The extreme amount of goofs, mistakes, and whatever else you want to call them was annoying as well. Sports movies are great for this. I mean, is it really that hard to get someone that catches with same hand on long shot of diving catch?

Knight Rider: Knight Rider (2008)
Season 1, Episode 0
8/10
It's 2008 get over it!
25 February 2008
I get everyone's complaints about the original and the theme song being changed. However, this isn't like when the Penguins (here in the Pittsburgh, PA region) changed their symbol at the height of 2 Stanley Cups and then go on to suck in the playoffs that same year. This is more than 20 years removed from the last episode from the original Knight Rider. Really people? Do you have to compare everything? Do you have to argue about this and that as to how this is better.. that's impossible.... ?? IT IS A MOVIE!!! It was a good movie if you do not compare it to the original and I'm with the DVR people because I will set mine to record new episodes as well.

What's with the 2010 that IMDb is listing? The new series? Another movie?

Oh my, I just watched an old episode via my DVR on RTN. All of you who said that the movie sucks compared to the original you guys are right. The new one didn't have unrealistic explosion scenes such as the one I just saw where two monster trucks inexplicibly blew up because they ran into each other. LOL!

Be Fair
1 January 2006
It amazes me how members of this site bash movies but then they seem to make reasons for not bashing it in their critique. Once again if you are watching a movie, such as "Team America: World Police" for instance, that is intentionally created to offend people and you write a comment saying it's the most offense movie you've ever seen (giving it an awful 1 out of 10 because of it) you've essentially given the movie a bad rating while giving the exact comments the movie should get if it's a 10 out of 10. Just like in this 3rd installment of The Mighty Ducks series. The movies were mad to have low brow stupid "kiddie" humor because they were created mostly for children.

I can tell you that as far as ice hockey is concerned it is the best movie when it comes to real ice hockey. It still has it's ridiculous scenes but is much more realistic than the first two as far as quantity of plays that actually seemed real. I would imagine that it was a direct result of the actors needing stunt doubles less as they began to become better and better skaters.

Oh well.

IMDb should research sports plots
1 January 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I loved The Might Ducks. It helps that I play ice hockey and am an avid fan when I'm not playing. IMDb may want to do some research for this movie's plot. Gordon Bombay misses a penalty shot not a shootout. Those are two separate events that simply involve the same type of play.

Otherwise this movie does contain very juvenile humor so if you are looking for high brow go somewhere else. I really liked when Gordon tells Charlie that "you may make it you may not" before Charlie takes his penalty shot. It's of course very obvious ending with Conway getting the penalty shot and winning it all. A more realistic ending would have been Charlie missing the shot too but then somehow because of their attitude they don't let it get them down and they win it in overtime.

Oh well though. It was a really great movie and when members critique these movies they should always check the date on the movie because technology has grown in "leaps and bounds" over the last few years.

Team America: World Police Rocks
30 March 2005
Team America: World Police is a hilarious movie but there are a few things to consider for you to like the movie. 1. You must not expect to see a movie with depth like that of Gone With the Wind as one user insinuated nicely. 2. You must have some knowledge of certain places in the world, current events, other movies such as Star Wars, etc.... In other words, and no offense to you if your are, if you are stupid when it comes to world knowledge you may not get this movie. 3. It's satire not how all Americans see the world so get a life if you think that the rest of the world is going to shape their view of Americans by watching this movie (not to mention some countries are banning it anyways). 4. You need to understand and like Matt and Trey's style of humor. 5. You need to want to laugh. If you go into this movie with a chip on your shoulder then you might now like it.

Alias (2001–2006)
Alias Not Nikita
20 October 2004
Although Sydney and Nikita share the characteristic of being secret agents it is not a knock off. To whoever said that you must not have watched but one show. Sydney was not arrested into the CIA she was part of SD6 and then she brings them down. You might want to brush up on the your skills at being a critic. Furthermore, the show is much better than Nikita. I would rank it even better than the Le Femme Nikita series. Jennifer Garner is a much better actress with more range than all of the "Nikita like" actresses even including Bridget Fonda who did a wonderful job on her remake of Nikita. I think comparing Alias to Nikita is ridiculous. Sydney Garner didn't win awards for it because she played a remake of a character. Alias is a great show and I wish Alias, 24, and the Dead Zone were shown back to back every week on the same station because that would be awesome.
