So Cold the River (2022)

So Boring the Movie

I like movies based on novels therefore I went to watch it under the impression that it would be a good movie as it is based on novel. More than half of the movie I could not understand what the documentary was about. It is so slow that I fell asleep in first asleep in the first 15 minutes. Ending is pathetic I could not make out anything from the killings. There is no horror and thriller.

Castle Falls (2021)

Good Action Thriller

Castle Falls is tightly scripted and efficiently directed film features Adkins and Dolph Lundgren. It is impressive to see these two martial arts action legends work together and play off of each other's strengths; both give strong performances. As for the action; the film does not disappoint it has well choreographed impressive fight scenes. It delivers solid entertainment, thrilling action sequences, some nail-biting tension broken up with some comic moments. Castle Falls won't please everyone as some will surely complain that it is slow at first but I feel that it was needed to set up the actions of the characters and make the audience care for the outcome. This is a smaller budgeted affair so don't go in expecting huge action set pieces.

Deadlock (II) (2021)

Deadlock is an action thriller about mercenaries that seize an energy plant and hold everyone hostage. Ron Whitlock (Bruce Willis) is a wanted criminal leading a team of mercenaries on a mission of vengeance. Bruce Willis keeps the legacy of producing bad films. 'Deadlock' is nothing more than a cliche all the way. The storyline is predictable, the cast falters and there are no prizes for predicting an end that is distinctly clear right from the start. Bruce Willis in this age plays a baddie when he can hardly get off the toilet. The cast plays their bit-part roles, but it isn't enough to lend any depth to the film. I would recommend catching up on some other decent flick instead of this damp squib.

Apex (2021)

It is said that this movie is a remake of Surviving the Game but it is not. Surviving the Game was well photographed, fast-paced, with decent action scenes. Apex is totally a crap. There is nothing new and nothing original to make it stand out. The all-round acting is just terrible, the plot is rubbish, brimming with wooden dialogues and cinematography is just passable. Even though it stars Willis, he is barely in it. He spends much of the hunting time in hiding in woodland, listening to the other hunters argue with each other and kill each other off. There should be some sort of law that there should not be two low budgeted Bruce Willis movies a year.

Judgment Night (1993)

Judgement Night is a fast paced action thriller. There is not a single dull moment in the movie. It is full of suspence and keeps the attention of the audience.

Dangerous (III) (2021)

Good Action and Thriller Flick

Dangerous is entertaining and, for the most part, a well made action film. The storyline has nothing new so don't expect much from the plot, but it's enough to provide content. As I am a big fan of Mel Gibson and I was not disappointed. Scot is more like copying his father and it is dangerous to follow into the footsteps of his father.

The Deep House (2021)

Dive Into Aquatic Horror

This horror movie makes us hold our breath for over an hour. The Deep House is a well-directed horror movie and it is very original. The director has delivered a beautiful picture with successful underwater shots and it is hard to imagine how challenging the shoot must have been. The two-thirds of the movie is filmed underwater but the last half hour of The Deep House is an incredibly tense and claustrophobic ride as desperation sets in, air begins to run low, and whatever is in the house with them closes in. It's all quite nightmarish and some of the scariest stuff I've seen this year.

Halloween Kills (2021)

The 2018 Halloween movie was a great story about trauma, taking Strode through redemption as she grappled with the trauma of being hunted by a madman serial killer and having all of her friends brutally murdered. But this 2021 movie fails to be about anything other than Myers killing people yet again. One of the things that makes this movie boring - and the opposite of what made the original so great - is the lack of suspense. The people who wants to kill Myers have no plan to kill him, they just like sitting ducks to him. If you want to enjoy brutal violence might find this movie enjoyable because it does have some great kills, but most of them are gratuitous at best and reminiscent of the Rob Zombie "Halloween" movies.

This is another all time flop of Bruce Willis. To keep review short I would just say that I slept twice watching it. I don't understand that why do they cast Bruce in their movies when all the action is done by his double.

Fast But Not Too Furious.

I am big fan of car chase movies and this saga of Fast & Furious quench my thirst of car chases. The action in the movie is actually pretty good, much improved over the original. Even though this type of film isn't really concerned with realism, however, some of the over-the-top stunts were fun to watch. We have a movie that's not really all that bad but comes up just short of being a good movie.

No One Gets Out Alive (2021)

No One Gets Scare Jump

For the first half in the movie you don't the get idea that who is responsible for not letting out alive. I thought it were the evil spirits that were responsible but in the later half I found that somebody else was killing the girls. There are no scare jumps or even horror in the movie. A simle plot with predictable happenings and lacking climax in the end.

Catch the Bullet (2021)

Catch the Bullet is an American Western action film about a U. S. Marshal who discovers his son has been kidnapped by outlaws. The plot is extremely predictable and directed without any flair or hint of interest in what's happening. Instead of catching the bullet you should dodge the bullet and watch something else.

Would not recommend this movie to anyone. Total waste of six bucks. It completely sucks. The houses are modern day, there are electric lights that they don't even try to hide, blinds in the windows modern furniture, the scalped man had ketchup on a bald head. It was awful.

Coming Home in the Dark (2021)

This film should be included in the list of top 20 most boring films of all time. There are no thrills, suspense, or tension. It's one of those movies that takes a brain-dead sitcom scenario to the outer limits of what an audience is willing to tolerate.

Intrusion is yet another home invasion thrillers. It does not move fast enough to make you forget its massive lapses in logic in favor of chills and thrills. It is also devoid of suspense despite few jump scares. Worst of all, its heroine does mind-numbingly stupid things while the husband is at home.

Jungle Cruise (2021)

Jungle Cruise is a fast paced fun movie. Absolute perfection from start to finish, pulls you in and doesn't let you go til it's over. Too much CGI makes everything possible and therefore very often also arbitrary. This movie has it all, action, romance, comedy and occult seeking Nazis. Dwayne Johnson does a sterling job as Skipper, even if his performance does constantly remind me of Harrison Ford for some reason. This movie is a real treat for the whole family.

Gunpowder Milkshake is a vibrant and entertaining movie it is unlike serious hitman movies. Script is good and there are no boring moments thoughout the movie. The film brings together a cast of talented actors to deliver on the action. If you're looking for a movie filled with talented, badass women showing off their action performance chops, there is something for you in Gunpowder Milkshake.

Midnight in the Switchgrass (2021)

Midnight in the Switchgrass is an average film whose first hour is held together by some decent direction and some good performances from Fox and Hirsch. Bruce Willis is just a poster boy to attract the audience. The movie has plot holes and a little bit of thrill.

In recent times when I see the name of Bruce Willis in the cast I skip the movie. But I gave a try to Out of Death that his movies could have improved but my conviction remained the same. Out of Death is a movie about a dumb witness and dumber cops. The plot has no twists in it but has lots of plot holes. This is not a kind of movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is advised to take along the large bucket of popcorn at least you will have something to enjoy during the movie.

The Ice Road (2021)

Liam Neeson plays a dedicated family man and big-rig driver. It's a simple story of a guy who has to take a truck with rig to a certain location but is double crossed and he has to get the bad guy. The Ice Road is a sorely underrated action movie, with truly good trucking action. Just don't make the mistake of taking it too seriously. It's not the greatest action movie ever, but it isn't that bad.

Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)

Sheridan and Jolie not at their best

"Those Who Wish Me Dead" is the kind of thriller that was popular during the 1990s. I went to watch the film because its director was Taylor Sheridan the guy who made "Without Remorse", "Wind River" "Hell or High Water" and the "Sicario" films. But this isn't Sheridan at his best. Aside from the two Maleficent movies, Angelina Jolie hasn't done much, so it's a little surprising to see her in a below-the-radar production like this. The film doesn't hold up to much scrutiny. There are too many threads left dangling and characters left unexplored.

American Dreamer (2018)

The real theme of the movie is men failing to take responsibility for their actions. The combustible mix of Mazz's paranoia and Cam's desperation comes to a head when Cam kidnaps Mazz's son with the intent of collecting ransom money. This terrible plan goes even worse than Cam could've anticipated. It has many thrilling moments, twist and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat till the end.

I watched this movie because of Guy Pearce. I think Guy did this movie for a few dollars more. This movie kept on disturbing my peace of mind with plot holes.

The plot of the movie isn't complex at all. It runs a whopping two hours and forty minutes. Most of that time is spent driving and talking in cars. This makes the movie a slow-burn. Director could have shaved thirty minutes off and reduced some of the film's drag. It's tough to sit through, but definitely worth seeing for the harder edge.

Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn are good together in a disturbing film. The performances are excellent across the board here. Gibson and Vaughn have great chemistry together as our buddy cop duo, and they're given some terrific hard-boiled dialogue to work with. However, it's Gibson who steals the show as a chain-smoking, weathered, sympathetic macho man who's unable to change with the times.

Lost Bullet (2020)

If you are a action movie fan then you would love this film; it has car chases, good choreographed fights, although the fights are a bit of gore, The action scenes are solid, if not spectacular.. The story is plain and with few simple characters: A wicked cop willing to climb the precinct corporate ladder no matter what and with no qualms for murder and a wizard mechanic in preparing cars to make it go fast to chase offenders gets hired by the police. Both get embattled in a fight for all or nothing. Fun and action is what this movie offers.

Force of Nature (2020)

Force of Nature has a few entertaining moments, but it's very forgettable and it blends in with a hundred other movies. However, Mel Gibson was the main attraction that I was eager to watch this film. But the Mel of Lethal Weapon was shown as coughing and stubborn old man. Besides he has short role in the movie. The fight scenes aren't that bad, all things considered. Force of Nature is not a bad film. It had its fair share of problems, but for a low budget action film with an aging action star, it's not bad at all.
