Iron Brothers (2018)
A Film with Heart
This is an indie film but it sure makes you remembers it and in a good way. Saw this a couple of years ago and it still comes up in my thoughts. This film has something a lot of major films do not have ... it has heart.
It's fun, a bit different and worth a watch!
Dracula, Lord of the Damned (2011)
Excellent and Artistic
Being a fan of Dracula films, I first watched this from a purist's view and it took a while for me to accept that this is half animation/half live action. However, in rewatching this (and it is rewatchable) I have come to appreciate the artistry and poetic license taken with this retelling The writing is fresh, the acting is solid, and the approach is pure artistry. This is an elegant version of a time-worn tale and very much worth a watch.
C'era una volta il West (1968)
The most beautiful of all Westerns
Poignant theme of the passing of the American West, where bad guy and good guy know this and take part in their inevitable ritualistic duel, with the unstoppable advances of the railroad (and civilization) taking all the spoils.
The cast ranges from effective to great. The writing is poetry almost. The musical score will haunt you long afterward, and the film itself will make any Western romanticist weep inside.
This is Henry Fonda's favorite role, Leone's finest work, and the Western genre's most beautiful film. Great musical score. The entire movie transcends the genre into art; a poetic film of great beauty.
