Fallout (2024)
It's Fun!
It's easy to be a pessimist in film and tv now in days. I'm not different. I had zero hope in this series, but it truly does deliver. I am already watching it again. Where there are some questions of lore accuracy and the somewhat shoe horned romance doesn't feel necessary, it is just fun. I had fun watching it and truly love the use of practical effects when done. I do hope they keep steering in that direction, but just watch. I had a good time both times!
It keeps the whimsy of the wasteland while having the grim aspects. I do wish the world was a little bigger? I think of the towns in fallout games vs the show, it does feel rather baron.
American Dad!: Demolition Daddy (2019)
Diversifying the Characters
People are prone to wanting the same thing rinsed and repeated to them. Hence why family guy and Simpson's and a good portion of the adult animated comedies have the same plots aka "Simpsons Did it" Episodes like these to some extent jump the shark but are necessary. Snot has been on the show since season one and his mother for awhile as well. You can keep adding characters but without giving them dimension you lose your audience. You have your mains rub with your side characters to give them more popularity and better substance to the story. Truly a well done episode for enjoyment value. Humor? Eh, but most of the shows stop being funny pass the age of 15.
Underwater (2020)
Underwater Horror at it finest
Is there other movies like it? Yes. But it is different enough in areas to actually keep you in. Cliches aren't in plethora like in many modern horror movies. Not trying to be too layered. In the end, you will probably find 10 bad reviews for every good one since movie snobs our a plethora out there. It it is a fun, entertaining movie that obviously takes stuff from different source material but doesn't take away
