Lost: MH370 (2014 Video)

Nothing new, but after 8-9 years, it's interesting to see the starting point
12 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Nothing new in this video, up to date, but there are very interesting things to mark down and take into consideration for whomever is more in-tune with the details and actually seeing it 9 or more years after the incident; especially after seeing the new documentary on Netflix, which is also recommended.

...Such as: the Malaysian minister had speculated about shooting a plane down: (After suggesting that there is no need to send any fighters to escort a friendly commercial airplane) The interviewer: Why shoot it down though if it's not hostile?

The Malaysian minister: Well, the Americans would.

I guess the documentary has a place as a historical artifact, rather than a good film by itself.

My score: 7.3 (8.0 for the value after being exposed to other details, and 6.6 as its own).

Reasonable conspiracy theories, if it makes any sense logically
12 March 2023
Well, this documentary has its own thing, which is giving alternatives to what the official narrative was until this point.

I must coclude that most of the claims sound more like crazy theories, but Florence de Changy's theory (in episode 3) seems more and more reasonable as you check the details and understand that her claims are not so crazy as it seems at first sight.

The fact that there are a few very different theories, make this documentary as worth watching. I also recommend buying de Changy's book, just for understanding that what she claims is not so crazy as it might seem.

No alien conspiracy theories, though.

My score: 8.0 (...Ep1:::7.5, ep2:::7.6 & ep3:::8.6)

Messi is the GOAT but this documentary is the WORST.
10 September 2021
Well, it's not the worst, but it's doing injustice to his legacy and lack storytelling.

Messi is definitely the best club player in history, but this documentry is doing him a lot of injustice, beacuse it's not even a compilation of his career and goals but rather a dull representation of his Balon d'Or wins and goals, without even showing them, and totally not inspiring even a bit. I will wait for the better documentry, whenever it will be.

At least in the documentries of Messi vs. Ronaldo - Cristiano wins, which at least his documentary from 2015 was a bit inspiring.

A depressing film that could have been great if it had a "say".
14 May 2021
The depressing atmosphere was fitting the movie and I do think it was important to understand the way things are being treated in this family, but the movie missed either a closure or some kind of a saying. Even if the purpose of the film was to say that sometimes life just doesn't have any solutions, resolutions, or a closure, I still think that a movie of this kind should not leave out a progression of a plot.

I enjoyed most of it - but on the other hand I think it's a miss.

Good Dogme 95 film but a bit above the average film in general.
13 March 2021
Well, this film is interesting in its premise, the actors are good, but I think that the threshold of the quality of the filming just cannot make up for it to be such a great film. I mean, I understand that the rules of the Dogme 95 are different ones, but I cannot give this film a 10 or a 9 even if it does have a different concept. Another thing: this film is (also) about social acceptance, but doesn't it mean that if I am giving it an "amazing 10" I am also a part of that? Another thing about the Dogme 95 and this movie: when I am rating a movie, I am not rating it as a Dogme or even as a thriller or any other kind of genre but rather a score as a whole creation, as a *movie*. I do think that there is a need for a rank/score for a lot of categories and a score for a film inside a specific genre.

Even if it didn't happen, it's true. That's the crucial message.
10 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This documentary should be watched without any previous information delivered, as Slavoj said: "even if it didn't happen, it's true. That's the crucial message". This documentary is all about telling a story of how a story might be considered as reality, if you believe it. A myth (a good narrative that is most likely false) is being written with true facts that are presented with a twist towards the truth that you want your audience to believe in. We should always remain skeptical, as reality is real only for those who believe in it, which is the true message of this mockumentary film, which is being presnted brilliantly - if you believe in it.

Comedy, tragedy, unbelievable story about fame and con
22 January 2021
A great story, a comedy, a tragedy, something that cannot be replicate in today's world. The colorful Brazilian imposter who became famous of conning his way into fame and glory, allegedly.

I think this is a great documentary to watch. It is fun, it is interesting, it is unbelievable. I also think that it says more about the people that fell for his lies than on him.

Big expectations, big disappointment
10 January 2021
First of all I must admit that I did not read the Manga or knew anything about the details of it and had to try and collect my information solely from the film. Saying that, I was amazed by the details of the graphics and tried to understand the hidden meaning of the film on-the-fly... but... I did not. I came to the film with great expectations and waited for the right moment where everything will be understood... but... it did not. I also MUST ADMIT that my review is from a 35-year-old adult, so it's difficult for me to come with a 10-year-old viewer, but at least I don't have a nostalgic-biasy. I am disappointed from the film by a whole. I think that a movie should give even for a new viewer an understanding of the plot rather than needing to see it a few times for understanding it. I already understand that there is a large and devoted audience for that movie but THEY need to understand that because the PERSPECTIVE of the viewer is important so that a review of a lower score is also necessary. If the movie would've been enjoying for everyone then it would've got an even higher score.

8 for plot/storytelling, 5 for a sci-fi film
9 April 2020
This film is not about time traveling and the title, even though very "sexy", is confusing. The first thought that comes in mind while I am hearing the words "time traveler" is something that will have a reliable explanation, but on the other hand and in the same breath I think it is lite, fun and is all about life's struggles with a very nice storytelling which is emphasizing the psychology of people that are encountering such a hard-to-handle reality. The plot is not perfect but is being told very nicely, so it's an 8.0 but the holes for the not-explainable film and the fact that it's titled with "time travel" which holds very high standards, it's not even a 4.0, so the emphasize on the story while taking the axiom of "it just happened" makes it easier to watch and I recommend it for whoever is enjoying romance.
