Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019)
Great film for the whole family!
Not sure why this has such a bad rating. Both kids (5 and 8) loved it. My husband and I (much to our surprise!) also found it funny - I was in hysterics on many occasions!
The acting was great, plot well put together and in my humble opinion the comedic edge brings the adults in to the movie. There's a slight mickey take of the Dora cartoon, which will speak to those of us who have sat through the high pitched, ultra zany episodes.
Keeping Faith (2017)
Emotional!
Interesting that some have accused Eve Miles of over acting. She is playing an individual whose world is falling apart. How can this be OVER acted? If you have the emotional sensitivity of a plank and the control if a jedi master, I suppose her displays if actual emotion may seam over the top. I, personally thought she was incredible. She shows the ups and downs, the mixture of emotions involved in wanting to believe the best of her husband but finding the worst coupled with the desperation if wanting to protect her family. The storyline, but mainly Eve Myles and her the way she plays 'Faith' kept me gripped until the end. Some of the Swansea police characters were a little odd, however and felt a little like an after thought. The ending was also a bit bland after the build up, but all in all a gripping drama that I thoroughly enjoyed!
