Reviews
Hey, Mr. Producer! The Musical World of Cameron Mackintosh (1998)
Great Celebration of Musical Theatre
I loved watching this show. It had a great display of talent, all parts were great but some of my favorite parts were:
1. The American Dream segment, Jonathan Pryce was great as The Engineer and does a phenomenal job in the role.
2. One Day More Segment, one of those songs I can watch being preformed repetitively, Colm Wilkinson is fantastic as well as the rest of the cast (though I still profess Terrence Mann is the best Javert).
3. Oh, What a Beautiful Morning, ahh... the days when Hugh Jackman was not a mega-star, nice to see his musical roots later shown in Boy From Oz.
Clue (1985)
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone wants a movie that's funny, smart, and suspenseful (who in their right mind doesn't?) this is the movie for you. The cast is wonderful! Tim Curry was perfect as Wadsworth (not hard on the eyes either =) !) and Madeline Kahn makes a fabulous Mrs. White. There are more memorable lines than I can list. (Warning: the following statement will be preceded by multiple exclamation points) SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Down with Love (2003)
Don't see this if you saw Moulin Rouge!
This movie was cute, charming, fluff. All actors gave a bubbly performance, and is a good movie in general. Ewan McGregor was pretty good, but after Moulin Rouge, this can't compare. Moulin Rouge is so wonderful, Ewan doesn't seem to fit into fluff. The movie was pretty enjoyable, with a fantastic score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Whitman (both of them also wrote music and lyrics to the musical Hairspray!). Sorry if I spelled any of their names wrong.
The Birdcage (1996)
A+++!!!
I may be a little biased due to the fact Nathan Lane is in this, but I loved this movie!!!!!!! Hank Azaria gave a hilarious performance as Agador. I laughed, I cried, I laughed so hard I cried. Tons of great actors and actresses filled the screen. See this movie!!!!!!!!
