2019 and nothing has changed
16 March 2019
Years after I originally watched this show, I've come back to rewatch only to find it's held up pretty well. Episodes like the luck of the Fryrish as well as other episodes like Leela's homeworld are filled with so much heart I could rewatch over and over again. These episodes are what set Futurama apart from other animated adult shows.

The Dragon Prince (2018– )

A show for everyone of all ages
14 September 2018
Despite technically being considered an adult, I still Rewatch avatar: the last airbender and the legend of korra pretty regularly. Those shows, as well as the Dragon Prince I believe are very important as they allow children to watch a tv show that has just as much heart and love put into it as any adult television. Shows like these allow children, as well as others to watch a show that doesn't dumb down its subject matter or lore. Shows like these give kids the oputunity to watch non serialized tales that teach life lessons. I've watched the first few episodes and it shows nuances unlike anything seen in children's television. It is perfect for adults who are sick of watching spongebob squarepants with their children. It is very entertaining as well as well-written and facinating. It is perfect for anyone at any age and would highly recommend.

Takes a Few episodes, but it's so worth it.

This show is one of the first animated comedy shows that truly surprised me. At first glance, I thought king Zøg would be the antagonist, but he is actually a genuinely well written character. The season arc actually was full of twists and the ending was a complete surprise. Wow! Still awed.

Cute and Different
17 August 2018
As someone who has loved Futurama for years, Disenchanted is different, though still seems tonally similar. I'm currently on episode 3 and while it may not be the funniest show ever, it certainly is entertaining and Bean is a fun and different protagonist. Looking forward to seeing whether or not it will contain the heart that Futurama eventually had.
