Brooklyn Nine-Nine: He Said, She Said (2019)
Season 6, Episode 8

Double standard is heartbreaking

Is this truly a "He said, she said" thing ? For the whole episode, it's not even questioned once if the guy actually did it. Innocent until proven guilty, no matter who and what you are. And you have to love how it's presented that every man is a terrible sexist bigot, meanwhile 3 episodes ago, a female perp was making Terry do a pec dance. A few seasons ago, Gina actually asked Jake to get pictures of Terry out of the shower, completely naked. And no one ever batted an eye ! Yeah, sexual harassment isn't cool, but try to at least be consistent on this. I absolutely loathe when politics and PC get involved in non political shows, and it has made me stop watching a few shows already. I'm watching shows to get my head out of the political world we live in, not get hammered by forced episodes like this

Always political

I started the first episode, and it felt okay. Blurry motions are a pain, but that's something I can live with. Acting is overall not too bad. I was ready to get cozy in bed and watch the full season this weekend. Sabrina's group of friends is .. diverse, but I felt it wasn't pushed. Boy was I wrong ! After the 20 minutes mark, here comes talks about White Supremacy, patriarchy, feminism and all of that. You have a white transgender being bullied by obvious bullies, but suddenly it turns out it's because of the White Patriarchy. You have one talking about "daughters of Black Panthers", as if the Black Panthers were a nice band of black boy scouts or something. I mean.. Come on ! Can we, for once, stop with all of this ? Politics are important, and should be discussed. Just not in TV shows, this has to stop. It doesn't feel as forced as in Charmed, but it's definitely there. I want my normal shows without an agenda being pushed down my throat every single second

Warning: Spoilers
When people watch tv shows, it's to relax, and put one's mind at ease. But when I watched the pilot, I seriously was shocked. It's not just about the terrible acting on everyone's part, and the lack of chemistry (as everyone said), which can happen during pilots. But the unrelenting attacks on "cis white males" are deplorable. You got a gender's studies professor as one of the main character (who gets attacked for being a "cis male"), the bad guy being an old white rapist, the "Believe all women", the punching a guy, but it's all cool cause he said mean things, the rape culture talks.

Makes me think that Rose McGowan was involved in this show !

Mood Indigo (2013)

Very Vian like
27 April 2013
When I decided to go see that movie, I was really scared. Scared that, somehow, this movie might be bad, whereas the book of Boris Vian is one of my favorite. But when I got out, I was really amazed. I felt almost depressed, exactly the same way when I finished reading the book. For the whole night long, I couldn't keep my mind of the movie, and I was barely able to sleep.

Gondry actually made me open my eyes about some things, that I couldn't imagine or figure out. But when I think about it, it just make sense. Like the fact that Alise is black woman. I don't know why, I've always imagined her as a white and blonde woman. But it's only natural that she is in fact black.

I can understand the fact that some people would not like the movie, being very weird, and being in it's own universe. But I really think this movie deserves a way better grade. Maybe one of the greatest adaptations that I have seen, yet. I gladly recommend to see this movie.
