Laserblast (1978)

Leonard Maltin gave this crap 2 1/2 stars??
19 June 2004
Reading through the trusty old 2003 Leonard Maltin's movie and video guide and I run across Laserblast, Which Mr. Maltin gave 2 1/2 stars. Then I remembered that I had taped it a few years ago off of Mystery Science Theather, so I pop in the tape and start watching it. It begs the question:

@ 1/2 stars?? WHY, Leonard, WHY?? This movie is atrocious, the plot is stupid, the acting is extremely poor, and the aliens are laughable. I won't go over the plot points because I don't want to bore you guys to death. The only choice worse for Leonard was giving the English movie Gorgo 3 stars. Dreadful movie. Leonard, you need a long vacation. After all, you rate this train wreck 1/2 a star better than Forrest Gump.

Hobgoblins (1988)

80's cheeze that has to be seen to be believed!

Hobgoblins....Hobgoblins....where do I begin?!?

This film gives Manos - The Hands of Fate and Future War a run for their money as the worst film ever made. This one is fun to laugh at, where as Manos was just painful to watch. Hobgoblins will end up in a time capsule somewhere as the perfect movie to describe the term: "80's cheeze". The acting (and I am using this term loosely) is atrocious, the Hobgoblins are some of the worst puppets you will ever see, and the garden tool fight has to be seen to be believed. The movie was the perfect vehicle for MST3K, and that version is the only way to watch this mess. This movie gives Mike and the bots lots of ammunition to pull some of the funniest one-liners they have ever done. If you try to watch this without the help of Mike and the bots.....God help you!!

The Creeping Terror (1964 TV Movie)

Wow!! Awesome!!

Guys, I got to tell you, this movie is tremendous. It is the ultimate sci-fi epic. The ultimate tour-de-force!!

slowly puts crack pipe down

I agree with all the other comments. If "Manos" The Hands of Fate is the worst film ever made, this is the number one contender. It doesn't have the hilarious cheese of Hobgoblins, Warrior of the Lost World, or Werewolf (or Werewilf). It is as slow moving and poorly done as you can ever imagine.

This colostomy bag of a movie stars no one, and the actors do nothing. The "creature" is the slowest moving, most ridculously designed monster in movie history. the actors have to crawl into the Creeping terror's mouth themselves. Yes, it that bad!! I won't go over the movie again, just see it for yourself, you will not believe it.

How do you describe a Train Wreck?
2 April 2004
How do you describe a complete train wreck? Manos-(which means hands) the Hands of Fate is the worst film ever made, period. The title should be the first clue, it's translated as "Hands - The Hands of Fate". This one has to be seen to be believed! Plot? There isn't one here, just a bunch of ridiculous scenes mashed together. For you bad movie buffs, just the scenes with Torgo (the caretaker) make suffering through this film worth it. Torgo has a knee disfigurement that has to be seen to be believed. The whole film, except for a scene or two is shot out of focus. If you are looking for entertainment in a film, this is not the film that you would pick-up at Blockbuster (unless it is the MST3K version). If you love to laugh at bad movies, this is a must. The director (Hal Warren) has created a film that makes Ed Wood films look like he as a director that is the second coming of Cecil B. Demille or Stephen Spielberg. The only director that would come close to the ineptitude of Hal Warren is Coleman Francis.
