Gekijoban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Kyurem vs Seikenshi Keldeo (2012)
Very tasteless
I've been a Pokemon fan ever since. After the very first generation (maybe second if i'm being nice), it has lost its originality. Nowadays people have come up with strange looking Pokémon's of weird type combinations. Basically, there is a legendary Pokémon called Kaldeo, which is one of the swords of justice (along with Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion). Although Kaldeo is not yet a sword of justice, it goes out to challenge Kyurem (which is said to be the strongest dragon Pokémon, due to it being able to be Black/White Kyurem). There is no plot whatsoever. Moral of the story is there, but quite tasteless. I wish people have come up with more intricate plots.
Me rating this 5/10 is quite generous.
I-ut saram (2012)
Good underlying message with thrill and fun.
I have also seen(read) the web comic which this film is based on. This film is a bit different in a way that it reveals who the murderer is from the beginning of the film. Although there isn't much time to build the characters up, each character is unique in his/her way (in other words, you won't have to worry about mixing up the characters). Actors and actresses did a fantastic job of acting out specific character. From times this film is very suspenseful, and in other instances, it is quite funny. This film has got me ponder about trust, and communications among people. Also, people are so hesitant about making the right decision. When someone's life is at stake, we must do everything to help. In common sense, it is right to notify the police when someone raises suspicion (of possible murder). There could have been a lot less victims had people taken actions. In conclusion, i recommend this film to everyone. It, however, would help making more sense if people read/see the web comic first.
Mi-hwak-in-dong-yeong-sang (2012)
Good underlying message, but nothing original
I was dying to see this film when i saw the trailer with cute Boyoung Park in it. When i finally go to see this film, i wasn't so pleased. It follows a simple plot of some characters "incidently" watching the supposedly "cursed video clip" from a now defunct website. Obviously, the not so kind spirit is vengeful and goes after the people who watch the video clips. I had the impression that whoever completed the script was trying to rush a lot of things into the run time of the film. There are a few instances where the makers of the film try to startle the viewers, but fail miserably. Not once, have i been startled. Actors, but mainly actresses act well (with the exception of an actor who played the role of Se-Hee (Boyoung Park)'s boyfriend). In the end, the message about haters on the internet is so to the point. I could have given this film even 4/10 but actresses and the message of the film saved this rating to 6/10. This is an okay film for a kill time.
