PJ Masks (2015)
It's a kids show guys.
I'm only writing a review because of reading all of these adults bashing this show as if it's for them. It's a cute show. My toddler loves it. He was born over 2 months premature and has struggled with being behind his age in some areas. The main one is speech. This show and a few others have really helped him come out of his shell and talk more. Their nightly adventures are fun and the theme song is catchy. :)
Santa Clarita Diet (2017)
Weird and Absolutely Wonderful
I don't know what made me give this show a chance, but I'm so glad I did. It's insane, gory, weird and hilarious. My heart was absolutely broken when I heard it got canceled because I adored this quirky show. It's so much more than it seems.
Jane the Virgin (2014)
Beautiful in Every Way
I was behind times on JTV, but I had a TV show slump for awhile where no show could satisfy me. This show did the trick! I randomly chose to watch it one day and binged it over the course of a couple months when I had time. I loved it and now I'm trying so hard to fill the hole in my heart that finishing this show left. It made me laugh, it made me cry and sometimes it literally stressed me out. (lol) It's a beautiful portrayal of family, parenting, culture, different kinds of loves and obstacles, hurt, relationships and so much more! YES it's overly dramatic and I never thought I'd like something so cheesy but it's such a beautiful show. This show changed my mind so many times. You hate a character then you love them. There are so many twists and turns.
I feel like the way things ended up were rushed in the last season but at least we got a happy ending. I was Team Michael for the whole show but Raf grew on me in the end.
I've never felt so attached to fictional characters. I hate to sound dramatic, but I feel like this show changed my life and it's a hard life without it. I've been recommending anyone who hasn't seen this show to watch it.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015)
Give it a Chance!
I went in to this show with no knowledge about it. I was trying to find something to fill the empty hole in my heart that finishing Jane the Virgin caused. When I first started watching this it was THE cringiest thing I've EVER laid eyes on. Then the music! Oh lord. I had no idea what I was in for. I don't love musicals..but I couldn't stop watching and binged all 4 seasons in a little over a week. This show isn't for everyone, as you can see from the bad reviews. It's definitely not like everything else on TV. It's romantic, unique, quirky, sexy and sometimes tacky and cringe worthy. It takes a special kind of open minded audience. You just have to stick with the crazy storyline for a bit then you're in love with the characters and can't stop. Watching them all evolve was beautiful. I will agree that the first couple seasons were great then it went a little downhill. Still worth finishing though. I personally loved the show's finale in concert form. It was unique.
I was Team Greg until Nathaniel came in and the actor for Greg changed. I just couldn't find Greg as likable when he came back.
Team Nathaniel!!
