Aurore (2005)
The only review you will need to read!
As both a child and an adult I have always watched lifetime movies and movies based on true stories, with the majority of them being about, child abuse, abduction and murder. Of course each and every one has moved me to tears, but this one haunts me.
I happened across this movie purely by chance when i was on YouTube, I decided to read up about aurore's case prior to watching it and I decided I didn't want to watch it due to the upsetting nature of the case. But I couldn't shake it from my head so I watched it. Now I cannot get the image of that child out of my head she haunts my dreams every night. She was failed by an entire town and I cannot comprehend how that was possible. The only people that I can't blame for her death is her birth mother and her siblings. I can't understand how her father went from such a warm loving man to a cold hearted monster that stood back and not only watched the daughter he loved be beaten to death but also beat her himself.
I know that if I knew a child was being beaten and abused I would go to hell and back to try and protect that child. I would be on the phone constantly to social services and the police and if they failed to do anything I would take matters into my own hands.
Now I know that things were different back then but there were so many people who could have done something but they didn't and I simply can't understand why!
The priest at the end asked them to forget about what happened and erase it from their memories, purely because of the guilt he felt for letting her down.
This is a film I can't erase from my memory and I know that child is most likely going to haunt me for the rest of my life.
Now as far as the acting goes, this is the finest acting I have ever seen and I believe this movie is a very rare masterpiece, which should have gained wider attention from the media.
Every actor deserves an award for their performance and this movie in general should have won a lot of awards.
This movie is very difficult to watch but It should be watched.
The Fault in Our Stars (2014)
If you don't cry at this movie you have no heart!
By far the saddest movie I've ever seen, never cried so much in my life. It's by far the most beautiful and heartbreaking movie you will ever watch. If this movie doesn't move you then there's something wrong with you! A love story that will last the ages. You will instantly fall in love with hazel grace and Augustus waters as they bring you into their world and teach you how to love and cope with loss. The performances by both main characters were spot on and the chemistry was indeed touching. I cried from the beginning the end and this truly was the saddest ending I've ever seen in a movie. It has a brilliant soundtrack to add to it. All in all this is a movie that will make you go through all the motions from laughing to crying. The best movie I have seen!
Keith (2008)
a film that will stay with me
Not many movies will stay with me only a select few but Keith is definitely one of those movies. I was trying to decide what to watch and a poster for this movie clicked up on my computer so i decided to take a look. Well all i can say is i'm glad i did, it's such a simple and beautiful movie that you honestly can't help but fall in love with it. Jesse McCartney i've never really seen him in anything and to be totally honest although he's an attractive guy he's never really done anything for me, however after watching this movie i think i may be a little bit in love with him now. All i can honestly say is that if you like such movies as The Notebook and A Walk To Remember which i do then your gonna absolutely love Keith. Also be warned tissues will be needed.
