1883: Behind Us, a Cliff (2021)
Excellent so far
This is beautiful to watch. Violence is horrifying but authentic. Acting is fine. Love the characters that have been introduced so far.
This is to answer the question about the age of Tim McGraw's character. The numbers in an earlier review are questionable. The show takes place in 1883. Elsa is 17 giving her a birth year of 1866. Her father would have returned from the war/prison camp in 1865. If he was 18 in 1862 (writer's assumption) he would be 39 in 1883 not 60. Tim McGraw is 54 so he is playing a character much younger than his actual age but someone who has been through a lot and may appear older. I disagree with an earlier reviewer who thinks he is a bad casting choice. I think he is doing a good job with a complex character.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Daughters (2019)
Glad I Stayed
Spent the evening yelling at the TV "This is over the top even for you, Fornell."
The last scene made it all worth while. Have to check my script source tomorrow as the last word was unintelligible. That's OK.
Still worth it.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Alta Kockers (2018)
Excellent
Wallace Shawn and Judd Hirsch put in great performances. For the reviewer who thinks they didn't solve "Tammy's" murder, yes they did. The guy they brought in who out of nowhere yelled "I'm not gay!" was in negotiations with Peter Stone on a second degree murder charge with the Hate Crime charge dropped. (Anyone know if the brothers' house was the same one used on Criminal Intent's "Palimpsest"?)
