Knock at the Cabin (2023)
M. Night Shyamalan Delivers Another Great movie
*** SPOILERS ***
I enjoy almost all of M. Night Shyamalan's movies and, like many of his previous movies, this has you wondering what was real and what wasn't until the very end. Dave Bautista absolutely stole the show. He's just a huge, gentle giant and I kind of wanted to give him a hug. It's easy to try to put yourself in that situation and wonder if you could do it or not. It's hard to talk about this kind of movie without throwing out some spoilers. I knew almost immediately that the four invaders believe they are the preordained four horsemen of the apocalypse and, while none of them knew each other, visions have led them all to this cabin. It was a little long, and I would have liked to have seen more accurate interpretations of what each of the horsesmen representated.
Infinity Pool (2023)
One of the top five worst movies I've ever seen!
I really don't understand why this movie is getting such high ratings. Maybe the reviewers think it makes them look like film art aficionados, or just really deep-thinkers, because it is just THAT weird. It is now among the other four on my list of worst five movies I've ever seen, which is so sad because I love Alex Skarsgard. First thing I thought was Stanley Kubrick really is dead, right? Take "A Clockwork Orange"x2, add some LSD, a healthy dose of "The Purge", a dash of "The Shining", the most annoying female voice grating like nails on a chalkboard, a lot of sex, of course, and make it way too long.
2149: The Aftermath (2016)
Good story, but you don't get any answers at the end.
Also found under title "2149: The Aftermath". A boy locked in a "safe" pod by his mother a5 nine, because the biggest and world ending chemical war kills the air. He remained there for nine years until lightning hits his pod and he is forced to leave. But was it a lie? My disappointment was that they never explained what happened during and after the war that lead to such extreme measures. At 18, boy meets the first girl he sees and moves into a caring family hiding in the woods. But he still had to find his mother, locked in a similar pod, all while trying to avoid killer police drones.
Room 6 (2006)
One of the most annoying horror films
Seriously, a lot of useless running and very annoying scream at least one per minute. Bad acting. Surprisingly weak considering there are quite a few well-known faces.
Monsters: Dark Continent (2014)
It has almost nothing to do with the original "Monsters" movie
This is just another platoon survival movie set in the Middle East, and occasionally you may see a monster pop up here or there. It's like they used the sequel as a launch pad to make another over-done movie.
The A List (2018)
It ends in one season!
Not the greatest series to start with, but they leave this huge cliffhanger (literally) and it got cancelled. They ought to give us one more when a show gets cancelled just so you get the answers for closure.
Dybbuk Box: The Story of Chris Chambers (2019)
Horrible. Do yourself a favor and just watch "The Possession"
The most excited part of the movie, was the intro to get you hyped up: "it' a real or he almost died or CNN news clips, etc." it's not a horror, it's not a documentary, and it's definitely not really worth wasting your time. Watch "The Possession" if you want a good Dybbuk scare.
