National Treasure: Edge of History (2022)
For 10year old girls.
I assume this awfully scripted series was made for young children. Got put off straight away with the lines "you double crossed Salazar, no one double crosses Salazar" within the first two mins. Just awful script. More suited for 10year old children. This had great potential to be something big. But severely let down by the lack of a script, actors/actresses who can't act. Script kind of reminds me of the power rangers series from the early 1990's. There's some cameos from Hollywood heavyweights but still doesn't rescue such a lacklustre series. Wanted to like this. But is severely boring. Only reason gets two stars is due to a female lead.
Killing Escobar (2021)
Misleading
Anyone that knows anything about Pablo. Know he wasn't killed by the brits. Let alone has-been soilders.
I have a feeling this title was given to mislead viewers into thinking this is the other documentary where they follow dea agents and ultimately leading to killing PE. This documentary has some comedic values. There's a scene where the team are planning the attack by colouring in map. Suffice to say. This documentary isn't about killing PE, in fact it's a mini biography on Peter McAleese. Some say... SAS Captain John Price was is based on McAleese.
Pirate Gold of Adak Island (2022)
Waste of time
This is similar to shows on discovery channel where they keep repeating bits of tension. This on the other hand, instead of actually digging they waste time creating stuff to dig with or finding Other spots instead of actually digging.
For All Mankind (2019)
Slow burner
Literally had to watch the first episode about 4 times. First three time I kept turning it off. It way too slow, mild, dreary. Only decided to give it a girth chance as it had 8/10 on IMDb (baffled as to why) after watching second episode 2 twice now (same reason too slow and dreary) im wondering how on earth has this show managed to to get 8/10 on IMDb. It is a very slow show with very little action. Heck even the dialogue isn't even riveting.
F9 (2021)
Some of the worst acting
Jesus this has some of the worst acting in a film or show. It's not just the cheesy lines anymore it's the really bad acting. The poor script doesn't help either. Heck having Jason and the rock in this film strangely probably would have made it slightly better even with their poor acting. This is definitely one to avoid. Fast n furious franchise started well then went really bad quickly. Then revived it self around FnF 5 - 6. Now it's hit rock bottom again.
Dopesick (2021)
Scary!
Amazing script, amazing acting. You couldn't make this up!!! Soooo frickin scary that this actually happened in US OF A!!! Mind boggling that a massive company got away with sooo much for sooo long. Unbelievably scary that this actually happened. Must watch.
Wrath of Man (2021)
Not a guy Richie film.
There's no way this is by Guy. There are way too many scenes in this film that are just fillers and unnecessary. Without them the film would still be the same just a really short film. The time jumps are meant to make things complicated and make things abit more exciting. But it literally brings nothing. Whoever directed this wanted this to be Guy... no - it doesn't work. Doesn't work at all. Just shocking. Because of Donovan it gets one star. That's all it deserves.
The Wheel of Time (2021)
It's bad. Soo bad.
It's so bad that the old channel 5 Hercules, and Xena shows better storylines and acting. It's definitely not in the same league as Lord of the ring or game of thrones. I took it down a star when I found out how much they spent creating this shocking show.
El inocente (2021)
Baffled.
I'm seriously baffled at the 10 star reviews. It's not often I leave a review on here. But thought I'd owe it to the people that want a serious review. This show is beyond poor. Seriously avoid at all cost. They try to do too many things. It just doesn't work.
Bad Times at the El Royale (2018)
Underrated.
Really surprised how good this film is. Came across it by accident. Won't be able to guess what happens next. Trying not to give anything away. It's defo worth a watch.
S.W.A.T.: Firefight (2011)
Surprisingly good.
Really wasn't expecting to like this. Thought I'd watch 10mins of it, then laugh at how poor it was and turn it off. Instead watched it all the way through. Usually
Films like these are full of cheesy acting or scenes. This was actually all quite good. Even the t-1000 character was good.
The Wire (2002)
Still amazing decades later
This is a series that will always be amazing no matter when you watch it. The script, the characters from Snott buggy to Marlo literally everything about this show is amazing. Cannot fault any second of it. It's crazy how you go from picking a favourite character which changes constantly.
Twist (2021)
Parkour parkour parkour
A film about parkour parkour did I mention it's a film about parkour? No? Well it's a film with "'Ello I'm Michael Caine" and Parkour.
The Great Escapists (2021)
Avoid
Put together The guy from Top Gear (when it was good) and the guy from Mythbusters behind the scenes, along with some poor acting and a massive building crew, tons of money from Jeff Bezos and you got yourself a show. Probably would have been better if you actually left them on an island on their own with cameras to record themselves.
Instead because everything is staged and scripted it becomes boring very quickly.
The Grand Tour: The Grand Tour Presents: A Massive Hunt (2020)
Shows gone downhill
Once upon a time I used to look forward to the specials. At least then it was kind of scripted... as in they spent some of the money towards writing a show. Now with Amazon's backing all the money goes today's location and cars. And the presenters do whatever they like - which gets extremely boring after the first 10mins. This latest special a Massive stUNT has to be the worst special they've done. Literally nothing serious or funny about it. Just one pointless waste of time.
Billions (2016)
Smart
It's probably one of the smartest and cleverest shows I've watched in a while. The aggression in some of the characters really make this show... even though there's no violence. And the constant metaphors from Paul's character really keeps you on your feet. Literally every episode is entertaining.
Killer Women with Piers Morgan (2016)
Ruined by Piers
I Like this kind of shows. But Piers' questioning is quite annoying and and very amateurish. Get rid of piers for future episodes.
