Dream Team (1997)
Greatest fictional football drama ever!
Wow, i have been watching this since around 1998, when i just got into football. I enjoy it so much and to this day still watch it all the time. The series is spectacular and always ends in it's usual cliffhanger finale. this is the most realistic fictional football program around, they actually use real footage from matches that have passed recently, but they do alter the colour of one of the teams to the traditional purple of Harchester United (name of fictional team). This however isn't simply about a team who goes out week-in week out and play football, NO! it is more. This series goes inside the team and features insane plots, like coach explosions, faking racist abuse so that the team goes through. Dream team contains some odd story lines but it is the odd story lines that makes this a success.
Chelsea FC: 100 Great Goals (2003)
Great if you are a Chelsea fan or a person who appreciates class.
Well this was a great watch for me, but maybe it's only because I'm a Chelsea fan that i say this. I bought this on DVD and it was packed with 100 great premier league goals, Chelsea fans WILL love it, and maybe a few others who don't support Chelsea but appreciates class. the DVD featured great goals from Chelsea legends Gianfranco Zola, Hasselbaink, Mark Hughes and many more, it also features decent goals from current stars like gudjohnsen, frank lampard. the only downside to the DVD is probably the extra with Zola, when they interview him. They mention the goal Zola scored against Norwich but don't show it as it was in the fa cup. there was also other good goals they didn't show but mentioned.
All in all it was decent, and is the best Chelsea DVD I've ever watched.
Army of Darkness (1992)
Its bad points are what makes the film so good
First let me start by saying that Army of Darkness is probably the worst film i've ever seen, but only in terms of scenery. If anything though the the rubbish scenery is what makes this film so catchy. It is a really funny film, Bruce Campbell is simply classy in this film as a dopey hero. I actually didn't really like this film when i watched the first 5 minutes but because the film isn't too long i decided to give it a chance, that is a decision i don't regret. The bit that sticks in memory for me is when evil Ash takes off the lady's clothes in one movement while saying "Gimme some sugar babey". That was just a funny scene, another is at the end when Ash has to take 6 drops of that potion to wake up in his time. He gets distracted and takes 7, that was a moment of stupidity that made me laugh. If you feel bored and have 90 minutes to spare then why not watch Army of Darkness? It is a decent film.
The Punisher (2004)
I don't rate this film too highly but what do i know
I watched this month or two back and to be honest i wasn't too impressed. The game looked good on the adverts but the film although not that bad, did drag on a bit. The film did deliver a few laughs, which is why it isn't the worse film I've ever seen but it was really long. After a while i was basically waiting for the film to finish. I wouldn't recommend this film to people who have short-attention spam (i do get bored easily). The film might appeal to a lot people, and those who sit through this film without getting bored during any bit of the film, then they deserve my respect. But i did think some bits were funny and i enjoyed other scenes, so if the film was shorter and didn't include some unnecessary bits then maybe i would rate this film more highly
