A Time to Dance (2016)
Omg
Okay so Jennie Garth is so so unhappy being married to a wonderful man who is handsome and bright but wears sweatpants and sweatshirts... Poor. This woman is so annoying. If she smiled once in the first hour her face would have cracked. Miserable to be around and if I were her daughter I'd say HEY MOM for goodness sake smile. What is with those kids anyway? They can't see misery in that woman's face and the attitude she's throwing off? Give me a break. The doom and gloom of mom is enough to turn the channel. I felt bad for the husband John who didn't have a clue . He's better off divorcing that sour puss and hooking up with the red head.
Love by Chance (2016)
Just plain stupid
So concerned caring mom gets involved in daughters life by getting a great guy to meet her . Girl meets guy and likes guy and they date okay BUT the ridiculous daughter who has as much personality as a moldy scone wants fate not arrangement . When said daughter finds out mom had arranged for great guy to meet her she flips her lid and no more relationship because why have a great guy if your mom got involved? This woman is horrible and spoiled and utterly disturbing. The story is similar to the Diane Keaton movie because I said so because of the mom wanting her child to meet someone wonderful .. Keaton was good as the mom in that and Brenda strong was also good as mom but no comparison. I skipped through this one and got rid of it post haste.
First Love (1977)
Swwet and Innocent
This is a nice movie. Simple and straightforward. It's about first love. Romance and hope for something more. Its a boys first experience with a girl who is a bit more worldly. It has some sexual scenes, but these are done well. It is not insulting nor nasty in any way. It is a non toxic film and I truly enjoyed it. I might be in the minority, but I am a sucker for movies like this I have seen it a number of times and I think I will eventually purchase it on DVD to have. If you enjoy nice films that make you think or cry or make you wax nostalgic, I think you will enjoy this one. A sweet guy meets a girl who is involved with an older gentleman. She is torn between the young guy who has yet to find himself and the older well established man who is seemingly well to do.These two people meet, have the start of what seems to be a beautiful relationship which eventually goes awry. It is touching and bittersweet. I adored the character played by a very young William Katt ( Greatest American hero Elgin is just so enamored of his new lady love (played by Susan Dey of the Partridge family), but she has secrets. I loved the song in the film which I cant remember.
It is the perfect chick flick. A super movie to see on Valentines day or girls movie night and yes it will bore your boyfriend or husband to death, girls, you will love it and don't forget the tissues. I cry at the drop of a hat, but this one broke my heart.
