Twisted (I) (2004)

Good entertainment
1 September 2004
Starring Ashley Judd, Samuel L Jackson and Andy Garcia – `Twisted' is a very good suspense thriller.

A police officer (Ashley Judd) who is investigating a murder finds herself at the center of the investigation when all of her past lovers start dying.

Like others stated, this kind of plot has been repeated over and over but I found acting very good with Andy Garcia and Ashley Judd. They have a very good chemistry.

The plot kept me guessing right until the end and I like that in a movie.

low budget flick
30 August 2004
Starring Tomas Milian and Manny Perez – 'Washington Heights' is a low budget drama set in a Latino neighborhood in NYC.

A young comic-book artist (Manny Perez) wants to escape his Latino neighborhood. When his father is crippled by a robber's gunshot, the young man is forced to run the family bodega.

The movie was shot in a budget (low resolution video and poor audio) with low profile actors.

The plot flowed well for 85 minutes but the last 5 minutes were just terrible. We don't know for sure if Perez and his girlfriend remained together and if Angel ended-up in jail for the shooting.

Cruel Intentions 3 (2004 Video)

so cruel but so good
27 August 2004
Starring Kerr Smith and Kristina Anapau, 'Cruel Intentions 3' was a very entertaining movie for those who like to play cruel jokes to friends.

A trio of amoral students (Kerr, Kristina and Nathan Wetherington) at an upper-crust college, delight in using sex and betrayal to manipulate the lives of their fellow classmates.

Great acting performance by Nathan Wetherington as supporting male actor and good Directing by Scott Ziehl.

While the 1st Cruel Intentions was the best one of all, the 3rd incarnation is nothing to Sneeze at.

Recommended mainly for the 15-30 crowd and 30+ with cruel minds.

A movie with a strong political message
27 August 2004
Starring Angelina Jolie, Clive Owen - Beyond Borders is a very sentimental and political movie.

A sheltered American woman (Angelica Jolie) living in London is deeply impressed by a doctor (Clive Owen) and his humanitarian efforts in war-torn countries. Driven by her new-found enthusiasm while working in the United Nations (UNHCR), she embarks on a dangerous journey to the far corners of the world.

This movie is recommended to those who wonder how bad things are in others part of the world. This movie is not recommended for those who have weak stomach. Strong images from people dying of starvation.
