One of the best
2 January 2006
I love the book, Master and Margarita by Michail Bulgakov, and I was pleased to see that this series did not spoil the spirit of the book. The actors are brilliant. Anna Kovalchuk performed very well. The part of Margarita is a very difficult to play. Vladimir Bortko again showed himself as a very talented director. Everybody expected a lot from him after his last brilliant work on the Idiot by Dostoevsky (his previous miniseries). What I did not particularly like was the cat, Begemot. I wish they could do better. The same could be said about some of the special effects which looked very primitive. But, in general, very good job!

One of the best comedies ever
1 January 2005
I have seen that movie more than 10 times and most certainly will see it again. It is funny, witty, and elegant. That movie is about a young Italian woman (the beginning of XX century) who was bred without any knowledge of sex life. She is full of stereotypes about how a lady should behave and she is about to be a wife. Hwever, it is not so simple for her (of course). Speaking about genre, Mio Dio, Come Sono Cadutto in Basso is a parody of saccharine sentimental movies about 'real ladies', who know nothing about men, marriage, sex and so on. The actors are brilliant, especially the heroine. The lines are witty. I do not agree with the word 'mediocre' about it. I assess it as excellent and most definitely recommend that movie as a very good comedy, especially if you like to laugh at stereotypical ladies of the beginning of XX century.

Something fresh for anyone. A must for the Russian speaking
7 September 2004
In my view, it is a decent movie, especially if you are tired of typical Hollywood plots, actors, and interiors, and especially if you are under 30. It is a must to see if you are a Russian speaking person and interested in Russian culture for it IS now the part of Russian culture. You could adore it or abhor it. However, the fact is that that kinds of movies incite big discussions over them and become some kind of milestones of the years when they were made. Therefore, I recommend this movie in general and especially for people interested in Russian culture and contemporary Russian vampires :) As for me, I like it (even if it is not the best Russian film ever) and wait impatiently for the next part.
