Desert Blue (1998)
Just Loved It.
Watched it just hours ago and I totally loved it. Every bit of it. It's a well written, acted and directed film. Music and cinematography too are great. Thanks for this feeling. :)
Si shi qing chun (2018)
I loved it.
It's all about the little things that make the difference in our lives. It's so alone-time kind of film. And the last film grabbed me by my heartbeats. This was also my first anime viewing.
Rockstar (2011)
Braaaavo Imtiaz...
This shows that storytelling does not have to be in a format or pattern and yet you can be sssooo effective. Imtiaz brought us an immensely fresh style of storytelling. And his creative vision was well supported by the rest of the team members. Ranbir- He well operated the character and fit himself into it perfectly. He is so troubled as Jordan and so innocence as Janardan. He displays the transition to his character so well. He's defined an emotionally troubled Rockstar. A R Rahman- I think he was there with Imtiaz when he was writing the film or working on the plot to be more precise. Because songs and background scores don't give a feeling that they are an added feature in the story, instead they breath in it and make it ssoo Powerful. Anil Mehta- Cinematography is just so in sync with the scenes that it does magic for the viewers. Editing, singing, acting by the rest of the cast were all Marvelous. It was a delight to watch Late Shammi Kapoor as a Shehnaayi player. His dialogue delivery still had a charisma. And how can we forget that 'Tareef karoon kya uski' track performed by Ranbir...So beautiful. The climax was icing on the cake. A grand salute to the Captain Imtiaz.
Kaksparsh (2012)
A Strong Lump In the Heart
Such a Heart Crushing venture about a verbally unspoken love. I just love it. Watched it second time n it carried the same magic. Writing was sooperb. Direction was WoW. Both songs (which are mostly without much musical instruments but Magical) n background scores flow as good as blood in your veins. Soothing Cinematography. But what stands above all is the Acting by some knock-out Actors. Sachin Khedekar and Priya Bapat left me gasping at times. They were ssso good. Medha Manjrekar, there is such a motherness, simplicity and excellence into her that made me adore her. Then there is Savita Malpekar who also made an impact with her superb acting skills. Mahesh Manjrekar does wonders with the right script for him.
Gangs of Wasseypur (2012)
Nothing Short of a Grand Epic.
Filled with such juicy characters, music, cinematography, dialogues etc., this film certainly slips into your 'favorites list' as soon as you have seen the end credits or may be long before it.
I have watched it at least 6-7 times and its not even been a year of its release. Certainly, the Hero of this film assures us that if you have good taste then you'll surely find my work delicious and ahead is a great scope for great cinemas. I hope you know who the real Hero of this film is.
I have always admired Dibakar Banerjee(my favorite), Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Farhan Akhtar and Shimit Amin but Anurag Kashyap was heavily ignored by me and now I feel sorry for it. I think these people are equally competitive when it comes to International Cinema.
The actors in the film were at par with powerhouses, especially Manoj Bajpayee, Nawaz, Richa Chaddha, Pankaj Tripathi and Tigmanshu Dhulia. The script was so well researched.
I saw the Making of the film which was released last month, and it was such a wonderful experience watching it too. I came to know that both the parts were made in a very tight budget of 18 crore, which is certainly an impossible thing to be done by Dharma and Yashraj. It was so kind of Mr. Kashyap to let us take a look at some of the tricky scenes and shots of the film.
Thanks for Such an Unforgettable Cinematic Experience.
