Love, Death & Robots: When the Yogurt Took Over (2019)
Didn't like it
The title makes you think it's gonna be something epic, in the vein of Twilight Zone, Invader Zim or with some rational thought put into it, then when you watch the episode it's about a genetically modified yogurt that talks and is über intelligent, and for some reason the president of the United States caves in to all its demands. Something like that happening is highly unlikely and absurd, why would anyone listen to any inanimate object or food that has become sentient? It needs to have the ability to move, some kind of power, or something to negotiate, instead of only threatening to go with China instead. Soo the yogurt ends up enslaving the human race. Just tell me Why oh why would humans allow any kind of matter that can be easily destroyed to have power over their lives? Makes NO Sense. Also, at the beginning they show the world being an unhappy place because of the yogurt's rule, and then at the end right before the ships take off, we are told about and see happy and fulfilled citizens. Did somebody say "incoherent"? Great as a show for kids, but as an adult I felt like my intelligence was being insulted. Might be a metaphor for artificial intelligence, but that only affects us as long as we keep pouring our lives into the worldwide web. Whatever, it was just lame. Expected better than that
