Godzilla (2014)
Godzilla finally gets a proper treat!
Like spilberg's Jaws and Ridley scott's Alien where the beasts were kept off our hungry eyes for the first hour of the film' building tension and anticipation in the progress' the director here apply this approach to almost perfection' giving Godzilla its mythical' well deserved prestige by delaying its entry ' so when it does 'oh boy' it pulls u in and never let go until the ending credits show up.also' i loved the message in this film' that Godzilla is just a symbol for the massive force of mother nature ' as it actually pop up only to restore balance on this planet'.human beings appears almost pathetic in the entire film 'thinking that they can control forces of nature but the truth is....the Complete opposite.so this is not a cheesy B monster film(like the 1998 poor version or even Pacific Rim cool but boring actioner) 'actually it is more like a character study drama and im into this and u only have to take it or leave it .i do believe that special effects are absolutely stunning(and only used in a proper way not like the chaotic Transfomers films) and it deserves an Oscar.and last but not least this film is very atmospheric specially at the final battle 'that was shot in the rainy' foggy mythical darkness which i truly appreciate.it
Wrath of the Titans (2012)
really shitty!
i went to see this movie with not really high expectations and it turned out to be really AWFUL! and here comes why: 1-the storytelling is pretty dull and boring 2-acting just looks like acting with no emotional link to any of the characters. 3-the monsters in this movie are just ......silly especially the cyclops. 4-the action sequences are not remarkable at all.
finally it is just another stupid movie from Hollywood and i would like to mention that these kind movies was really great in the 1950s and 1960s like for example The seventh voyage of Sinbad it is just one of greatest B movies of all time.
verdict:just avoid this piece of crap of a movie.
The Happening (2008)
you will never look at a tree the same way again
well before watching any movie i usually take a look at the comments here and if it were negative i would probably don't watch the film but thanks god i didn't pay attention to the too many negative reviews for this film because i just went and watched it and to my surprise i found it to be a really thoughtful movie and the acting were good not great though but what really stands out is the direction and the story telling.it is a really good film 4 those who take as a drama and not a sci fiction film and it just show how human beings became so careless about the mother nature that gives life to this earth.and by the way it wasn't boring at all and the death acts were really chilling. and unlike some of the director previous movies the end of of the movie was far from stupid(if u watched the village or signs u would know what i mean)the ending here is really inspiring.to make a long story a short this one of the best movies i have seen this year. 8 out of 10
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
what if?
i have just finished watching this nightmarish movie and the first question that came on my head is what if dreams can be true? what if i had a dream of being attacked by an animal for example and woke up to find some scars over my skin?i think this would be hell scary and thats why a nightmare on elm street is one of the great horror movies.as for the acting it was good considering they were mostly young and inexperienced yet (including johnny Depp) and lets just not forget about Freddy because unlike all serial killers in the movies u just can't escape him unless u would spend the rest of your life awake which is of course impossible . the soundtrack was really spooky and it connected with what is happening on the screen very well.i don't want to give out anything that would consider a spoiler but i have to mention that the death of Tina is one of the most sadistic death scenes ever.so to make a long story short this film is a must see for any horror movies fan
