Gangs of London: Episode #2.8 (2022)
Season 2, Episode 8
6/10
What were they thinking?
25 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Fairly enjoyable show, had it's ups and downs, goods and bads, stupid and a bit less stupid twists.

Among many script flaws I couldn't get past the van with the 1.5 tones of heroin. How did the black lady manage to carry 1.5 tones of heroin from the van to the motel room without being seen? How could they ever think of having a gun fight in the heroin motel room? Will the police not come and investigate 50 caliber machine gun fight? I just can't :) the stupidity is overwhelming. Should I bother mentioning the super soldier Elliot? I understand he's a trained guy, but every guy he's fighting is ex-military, just like him and yet, 7 ex-military guys can't come close to handling 1 Elliot. They should send that dude to Ukraine, I bet he can stop tanks as well.

To top it all off, that ending... just ughh. I hope this gets a 3rd season because this would be an embarrassing show finale. 6/10 because it was a decent waste of time.

My Name (2021)
3/10
Predictable, impossible, unbelievable.
24 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Really? Some 17 yo girl, 45kgs at the most, beats experienced male fighters even when drugged. I just can't get over how stupid that is, and how predictable and slow the show is. By the way, in that entire mafia gang, not even one guy is older than 45. This is, hands down, one of the worst new Korean shows I've watched

Skip this one and save your time.

Brothers always come first
20 January 2020
Great progression of the plot, interesting, and surprising. Good to see Ghost didn't die alone, sad to see he cared about the one who killed him (maybe that btch Tariq?) The end song blends in so perfectly I replayed the scene 2 times.

Nowhere Man (2019)
5/10
Not a 'bad' show per se, but rather a confusing one
2 November 2019
The show definitely had something special, although I can't exactly put my finger on it. It was also quite confusing and lacking direction, but overall enjoyable. Looking back, plenty of plot threads were not explored, and the plots that were presented were also intertwined which made the show pretty confusing. To rap it all up, the main 'villain' was not believable, his means and actions were not explained, the main characters were not nearly enough build or developed throughout the show, and some of the side character deserved more background. Also, it seems like the show ended without tying up loose ends. Was this worth the watch? Yes and no. There are other shows more deserving of your time.

Live by the sword, die by the sword
15 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
One of the most action packed and character developing episode, next to a few others, including the one where J killed his Latino lady companion. As the seasons passed, we have witnessed J climbing the ladder and gaining his family's respect, evolving from a scarred but witty young man into a cold-blooded leader. As for Smurf, she has completed her part in developing this show, and was no longer needed. I am sure many viewers had connected with her, but it is time to let go. She had lived the way she wanted, and did everything to die the way she wanted. Begging, clinging, shooting, still hustling to get her way. Great experience I want more!

Ray Donovan: Baby (2018)
Season 6, Episode 10
10/10
Burning Bright
30 December 2018
The last few episodes have been building up intensity like water in a clogged sink, to the point where it just spills over, in abundance. I feel Ray Donovan is similar to a super-giant star on its last step before forming a supernova, ultimately ceasing its existence, leaving profound darkness in its wake. This episode has progressed both the characters and the story in quiet a brutal manner, all while the show still keeps some of the old one-word Ray we know and like. Seeing the family get over their differences and come together for a united goal, a purpose to be achieved, was an expected yet very nice outcome. Looking forward to the next episode, wondering how Ray will deal with the friend who has been forced to become an enemy.

This was awful
15 June 2018
No need in writing anything, it doesn't deserve the effort. Avoid at all costs. I would rather clean the toilet than watch this garbage again.

I found the fake reviews hilarious. 90% of the reviews for this film are fake, made by members that (surprise) joined IMDB the same day they wrote their review, and they only have one review written, the one about this film.

Billions: Elmsley Count (2018)
Season 3, Episode 12
9/10
The best of enemies can sometimes make the best of friends.
11 June 2018
This was a pretty impressive and story-full episode that progressed both the plot and some of the characters in a rather fluid yet brutal manner. As I have said before, there is nothing I like more than seeing someone going against the mighty "Axe", knowing there can only be two outcomes: either the enemy (the snake I might call it considering the situation) gets its head cut off or the snake is broken in, put in a nice 'glass house', and trained to work for Axe. Either way, the snake will not crawl freely to wherever it pleases. Leaving that aside, it was delightful seeing the development that Chuck and Axe's character underwent, transcending the level of being mere enemies or allies of need. The 12th episode of the 3rd season of "Billions" is a breath of fresh air from the pollution that consists of mediocre TV series and propaganda they often carry. I like where this is going!

A show that was, is and will be highly overrated
22 February 2017
Going to keep this review spoiler free. To make a clever analogy, Sword Art Online is similar to an apple that looks fresh on the outside but is all rotten inside. If you have ever heard of the "Rotten Apple" theory which states that one rotten apple can ruin an entire barrel, that is what I am afraid of. Anime series similar to Sword Art Online will spread like mold in an old house, resulting in lowering the current set standards for a "good" show.

Intro: Unfortunately the very premise of the show makes it hard to take seriously. A new innovative game "Ordinal Scale" is created and people are crazy about it until sh*t hits the fan and Kirito must save the day.

Story: 3/10 The story revolves around Asuna and Kirito's group of friends battling Augma as well as Asuna's and Kirito's romantic relationship. The story is more of a way to connect and insert action scenes rather than progressing with the characters. To compare SAO:Ordinal Scale's plot with the previous series I would say that Ordinal Scale is better but as the saying goes, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. With that being said, the story is still boring, predictable and borderline ridiculous containing numerous plot holes, plot armor and having a simplistic idea that is poorly executed. Ordinal Scale is a failed mix of comedy, drama and romance but it does have great action scenes that keep attracting viewers. The story brings nothing new to the table, it is mostly the same old repetitive SAO plot but a bit different and a bit more enjoyable with the only redeeming factor being its pace. Even though the story itself is nothing special, the pacing is pretty good to be honest.

Characters: 2/10 The characters are poor, one-dimensional, clichéd, generic and utterly annoying, there is not much to say that can redeem them. Ordinal Scale features lots of survivors from SAO and I liked seeing them again, just a bit of nostalgia.

Kirito is the same overpowered guy that can defeat anything and anyone if he gets serious. All the girls still fall for him even though he has no charisma or an intriguing personality nor is he particularly intelligent. In Kirito's defense, I suppose being a hero in a life-or-death game can make most people grow to respect him and maybe "love" him.

Asuna is the same as always, a generic damsel in distress that is constantly seeking attention and constantly irritating me. Asuna does have some good moments throughout the show but that is not nearly enough to redeem her character.

Shino Asada, a generic character from the ALO/GGO series. I liked the fact that she respected Kirito and Auna as a couple even though she had feelings for Kirito therefore not creating further drama.

The only character I liked was Eiji, a bad-ass player who is top ranked and has a cool air about him, won't go into details due to possible spoilers.

The villains are clichéd, generic and imbecilic. We have seen these type of villains many, many times before in the previous seasons of Sword Art Online or other low tier anime series.

Animation: 10/10 The overall art and animation is great, fluid with nice design and colors, just what you would expect from a 2017 anime production. The fight scenes are very well choreographed, fluid and engaging. The animation does have some glitches but I am compelled to overlook them.

Sound: 7/10 I personally did not like the OST, they used some old SAO music and some new and not very good songs. The overall sound is pretty good but nothing memorable or to brag about.

Enjoyment: 2/10 After finishing Sword Art Online Ordinal Scale I was left with a "meh" feeling and a bad taste in my mouth. Having Kirito wear his old "black swordsman" uniform was a sore sight. There are some good battles and nice scenes but they are not nearly enough to make this a good watching experience.

Overall: 4.3/10 Unfortunately Sword Art Online continues being the malignant tumor slowly eating away at the good anime production. The poor plot and generic characters can not be overlooked even though the animation and sound were very good. If you are the typical SAO fan you will love this movie but if you did not like the SOA series you will not like this. If you are ready to waste 2 hours of your life, I recommend giving this a try since it is so popular.

Tales of Zestiria the X (2016–2017)
6/10
Good animation/sound and decent plot/characters
29 January 2017
Intro: Tales of Zestiria the X:2 continues telling the story of a young man and his group of friends that are doing their best to save and clean the human world of evil. This anime reminds me of the trilogy "Lord of the Rings".

Plot: 5/10 The plot is not one of this series's strong points. Tales of Zestiria the X presents the story of a young man named Sorey, and his group of friends who are doing their best to save the world. At first the plot is slow paced but as the story progresses it picks up the pace. I see no point for ep 5-6, since it adds nothing to the plot.

Characters: 6/10 The characters are fairly generic, they do not get much character development but they are likable.

Animation: 10/10 The animation and art are splendid, truly mesmerizing. One of the best animations I have ever seen. Just by looking at a few scenes you can imagine all the work that was put into the creation of this anime. Tales of Zestiria the X is produced by the studio Ufotable, a studio known for its high quality production.

Sound: 9/10 The OST is great as well, it deepens the emotions and perfectly blends with the animation. The opening theme is highly enjoyable, the ending theme is decent.

Enjoyment: 7/10 The fight scenes and the backgrounds are stunning but the story itself is nothing memorable.

Overall: 7/10 Even if the plot and characters are nothing special, the show is worth the time just for the animation and sound. I recommend this anime to anyone who is looking for eye candy and wants to find out what high quality animation looks like.

Mr. Robot: eps2.9_pyth0n-pt2.p7z (2016)
Season 2, Episode 12
7/10
A good episode but not such a good season finale
22 September 2016
The first season of Mr.Robot was great and had an impressive finale. When the second season began I was afraid this show was following "Hannibal"s steps and was going to turn into something boring and disappointing, fortunately I was dead wrong. After the first 3 or 4 episodes this season was turning out to be really good and a breath of fresh air. Although the show is sometimes difficult to understand, even cryptic at times, it is all revealed in the end. About this season's finale, it offers some sort of closure to the Tyrell Wellick mystery as it shows him alive and well but it also shows the never ending struggle between Elliot and his other personality(his dead father) as well as the apparent demise of the FSociety.

I am not happy with what kind of personality Angela turned out to have or with the Tyrell saying about Elliot "I love him!" or with the little clichè from Elliot and Angela, the childhood friends who turn out to be in love with each other. Over all, season 2 was above my expectations and the season finale(I though it was going to be really packed with action) was a really good episode but the season deserved a better ending. Season 2 - 8.8 Season 2 finale - 9.3

Jason Bourne (I) (2016)
7/10
Not as good as the "Bourne" trilogy but a good action movie!
22 July 2016
The Bourne franchise started with "The Bourne Identity" back in 2002, continued with "The Bourne Supremacy" in 2004 followed by "The Bourne Ultimatum" in 2007. I do not consider "The Bourne Legacy"(2012) part of this franchise because Matt Damon didn't take part in it and because it has much lower quality in script and filming. "The Bourne Identity"was one of the best action movies I had seen at the time and it really made an impression on me. The sequels were almost as good as the original, although they didn't have the same vibe. I will not go into details about this year's film since I don't want to spoil your fun. If you enjoyed the previous "Bourne" movies you will find "Jason Bourne" at least entertaining.

About the 2016 movie "Jason Bourne", it is an American movie directed by Paul Greengrass(director of "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum")based on a script by Greengrass and Cristopher Rouse, it had a budget of $120.000.000 which definitely paid off in the movie quality. The movie has a solid cast(Matt Damon, Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander), good plot, not so good script, no cliché lines, great action/visual effects, it has common sense and it does not defy logic like most action movies do. "Jason Bourne" definitely lives up to the expectations. In this movie we have Jason Bourne knowing who he actually is, cured of amnesia, and battling an even larger enemy than before. There are car chases, well choreographed fight scenes, shootouts, explosions and everything else you would want from an action movie. Even though we are used to seeing Jason Bourne being chased by a government agency we still love it. Unfortunately, this movie has a weak script and plot holes, it is far from the quality of the "Bourne" trilogy. "Jason Bourne" still is one of the best movies released this year and I would confidently give it a 8.0/10.

I have watched over 1200 movies and this one is for sure a good one. I advise you to go watch "Jason Bourne", you sure will enjoy it!

This review may be altered by the fact that I am a "Bourne" fan.

Mr. Robot (2015–2019)
6/10
It started so well...
22 July 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I waited for the first season to end before writing a review. The first season's pilot was well built, captivating and overall great. After the pilot the quality of the script went down.

First point, the protagonist, Elliot, became boring. He uses drugs, he is mentally ill, talks to himself(or the people watching) he is not confident, his skills as a computer geek are not fully shown, he is described as a "genius" but doesn't show it, nothing too special about him.

Second point, the rest of the characters don't have the depth i wished for, i can not root for them, they do not evolve much.

Third point, the show is similar to the show "Hannibal" from the filming perspective, the protagonist being a highly intelligent man but delusional and the vibe you get from watching this show.

I hope the directors get their heads straight and get this show to be better or I am afraid it will end up cancelled as Hannibal did.

Pilot: 9.5/10 Rest of season 1: 8/10 Season 2: 7/10

John Wick (2014)
9/10
a good action movie
16 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
the movie john wick is not bad, it is a tipical action movie(like Rambo) where a bad ass guy kills enemy individuals in combos of 15, but the plot is good. I have read some reviews and they all said that it s a dumb movie because at the beginning of the movie the 3 criminals broke in his home and knocked him (the trained hit-man) out. even a trained killer can be knocked out if he is hit with a bat at the back of the head, i mean DOES TRAINING GET U A THICKER SHULL OR WHAT?. over all i find the movie interesting, with pretty good acting and a decent plot. i hope you found my review useful ( sorry about the grammar mistakes i made, English is my second language) and i advice u to watch it.
