CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Bloodlines (2004)
Typically bad season finisher
You can just sense the network executives meddling with this episode. For whatever reason season finales always rank higher in viewership, so what to do to showcase your hit series? Make an episode that is completely unlike all the other 23 episodes in the season. It feels like a short movie, or a pilot for some other TV show.
The pacing, the cinematography, the soundscape, everything. It's completely unlike the CSI formula and breaks many of the show's established "rules". They literally pull the main suspect ouf of thin air during a scene transition. Usually just finding any possible suspect to compare DNA/fingerprints to makes up half the episode. No time for that, more action and drama!
It wouldn't be a bad episode for your average cop show, but it has nothing to do with CSI. As such the heightened drama just feels forced and out of place.
I'm Not There (2007)
What the heck is this movie about?
I watched the movie couple of days ago. I had no clue what was going on the whole time.
I watched it again the next day in case I missed something and that's why I didn't understand it.
No, still no idea.
And you can't even save it by using the art card. This movie is crap.
The viewer has to have the whole life of Bob Dylan memorized in order to understand what's going on, because the movie doesn't feel its required to explain anything that's going on, or to tell who the characters are etc.
I would not recommend this movie to anyone. It just doesn't make any sense.
PS. The scenery was nice.
