Struggle: The Life and Lost Art of Szukalski (2018)
The world of a creator
You have people that make 'art' and you have people who live and breath it, they give every lasting piece of their vibers to creating. That is what this man was doing and he did it well. I love the fact that we see so many sides to his life, the arrogance, the heartache, the stupidity. A human life is so simple yet so complex, i feel that we can experience that trough watching this documentary about an exeptional artist. The documentary made me feel something I haven't felt in a long time. It is almost an undescribable emotion that has gotten me by my troat, not attacking me but forcing myself to lift of out of my chair and create something myself.
A must watch for art lovers for sure.
Straight Outta Compton (2015)
Unprecedented
"Speak a little truth and people will lose their minds"
A great movie that puts everything that was happening that time in America in perspective. The pure beginnings of N. W. A. And why they did what they did, shines true the whole movie. It's all about reality rap, the movie ends with honours to Eazy.
Dynasty (2017)
exhausting but intriguing
This whole show is trying to portay rich peoples lives and problems, instead they are portraying naive people having teenage conversations making all small things huge problems. The story is not that strong, as are the characters, they are one thing; outrageous. All points are for effort and filming. The acting quality is not stable, some are better then others. It is also a big set back that some of the main characters are changed multiple times.
If this show didn't have fallon it would have been unwatchable, later in the series more likable characters enter the big screen and the characters also mature along the way.
For the fashionistas among us, the costume design can be very inspiring. Mostly the reason why I keep watching this show.
Slumdog Millionaire (2008)
Good story, to much going on in filming
Oke, so I really didn't like the story from the start and I had a lot of trouble getting in the vibe because of the over done chaotic shots. Although I love experimental footage, there was just to much of it during the action scènes. At about 2/3th of the movie I started to like it more and more because of the story line. It wan't perfect but very interesting at moments. Nice movie, great potential!
A Princess for Christmas (2011)
Just not so good christmas flick
All in all, it could have been worse. Probably a fun movie for little kids and teenage girls but there I hold the line. Normally it's fun to watch the 'not masterpiece chick flick and Christmas" movies, but now I had a lot of trouble to enjoy a simple movie. As a serious movie critique all I could see was this: Bad to moderate acting, terrible sound effect, special effects, bad makeup, childish and not at all fashionable costumes, filming was unfittung, dissapointing script. Probably a lot of people will enjoy this movie, but it is far from award winning! So for all you movie fanatics, if you like cheesy movies this is the one! If you enjoy more of a thoughtfull movie this ain't it!
Back to the Future (1985)
Nice classic, not a masterpiece
So for me, I never watched this movie growing up. I just saw it for the first time, i amediately figured why people love it so much. It's funny, has some nice shots in it and the story is enjoyable. It just wasn't as good as I expected, filming could be better and some little touches here and there would have made it a masterpiece. It just seems when there is no sentimental value, the movie is just good and fun and not amazing. Overall really enjoyed it and it still is a nice family movie
Scooby-Doo (2002)
Fun and full of details
This was one of my favourite movies as a child. It was exiting, a bit scary, funny and I feel there are many inside jokes for parents in there as well. Now I'm 25 years old and I have some knowledge in filming and story telling. I can see this is not a real movie theatre master piece, but it still has a lot of details and almost nothing is left out. It is a fun family movie for everyone to enjoy!
The American Barbecue Showdown (2020)
Lovely show
It's real, it's tasty! No unnecessary extra's in the show. It's all about bbq and friends, love it! Would cut one of the presenters because the man and woman don't really add so much to the show. And yeah they don't change clothes bit it doesn't bother me at all.
Enola Holmes (2020)
A nice teen movie
Nice and quirky, nothing special. Little bit feminist and empowering for young teens.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Barely but great
This movie kept me watching but only at the ending I was on the edge of my seat. It just lacked something in the story overall. I loved the way it was filmed and the actors were say the least talented!
The Professor (2018)
Be the 2%
This was a simple yet meaningful movie, you probably need to have lost to love this movie. In one word: charming.
Get Organized with the Home Edit (2020)
Just to much
I really like cleaning and organizer shows. But I just can't relax my head, let alone follow any of the tips because the women in the show keep talking true each other all the time. Everything! Is funny?? Good for them they have a running company but why do we have to hear it every episode?
Hidalgo (2004)
Almost
A movie with great Potential, nice playwork with shots. Unfortunetaly there where to many cheezy storie line twists... Also hated that everywhere frank looked, Hidalgo got a close uo shot as well.
