This movie has captured it

The atmosphere, the doing time in a town of nothing-but-work, the people, drugs and work.. it's all in here.

Most won't understand this movie though, but I do.. been living that way of life also. It's life when you're surrounded by people you like, but ... it's not that simple. Work, is something you have to do also. Emmett returns to his old hometown and after a while he's using lots of cocaine, selling pot and trying to live normal life. As in real life, no party lasts for ever.

It's like an excerpt from someone's real life these days. And a very entertaining one, I didn't feel like 'fwd button, where are you?' a single time during this movie, so in a way, goal accomplished, isn't it?

She should have known before saying 'I will' in the church..

A young couple gets married, and goes to honeymoon trip to the woods. Or a small cabin on a lake, whatever - in the middle of nowhere. The new husband turns out to have serious issues with social life, communication and his visions of life are just twisted. Julianne's honeymoon will turn into a true nightmare. She will find herself marooned and chained, the only way out is by swimming after wiping off the obstacles, Mitch being the biggest one.

The plot carries on nicely, it's not boring at all, just full of 'goofs', but if that doesn't matter, it's okay entertainment for evening. The biggest goof being how could she not know his boyfriend is a boy fiend indeed? They dated over one year before getting married, and this honeymoon brings out the true husband? The scary thing is, there actually exist people like this, both female and male..

Mitch's behavior is exactly like one from Criminal Minds. In my mind I created a small profile about him, heh.

Disgusting, weird entertainment

Actually I wonder why this kind of movies are being created. On the other hand I could ask same question about many other things, like some music genres. This movie is from 1999 by the way.

Two females seem to suffer from past traumas. Both commit blood-filled suicides with way more imaginary/graphic ways than just shotgun-to-mouth. There is no dialogs at all, porn-movie-like music plays on background while the girls are getting cut and so on. If you like blood, more blood, toothbrush, a fork, and japan shock, this is a have-to-check-this-out. If you like mainstream horror, this is not for you. In fact, maybe 3rd attempt as sober, I managed to watch this from the beginning to the end. Some scenes could have been shorter, that's why only 8.

At the end of the DVD interesting trailer about a (short?) movie called "A Dead Person" (from the same co.), lots of smashed heads, very bloody corpses, severed heads, dead babies and so on.

If you haven't seen the original movie, you may like this

Watched the original Men Behind the Sun, and then this sequel. This was English dubbed though. Cantonese version may have been way better. Anyway, from the 1st 2 minutes I felt this is some awkward attempt to ride on the "success" of the first movie.

Story about Japanese biological weapons development with some off-topic (maybe I missed something?) autopsies. Some shots are clearly ripped from the first one, like the liquid nitrogen demonstrations and when the leader dude stands in front of the japan flag & his "army". If you haven't seen the original movie, you may like this, anyway I was so much disappointed I recommend watching "Men Behind the Sun" or even "Mermaid in a Manhole" instead, and skip this one.
