Gigli (2003)

One of my favorites

I, like everyone else heard the awful rumors about this movie. So my neighbor comes homes one day with a screener copy of the movie as the movie was still playing in the theatre. So I borrowed it not wanting to waste money in the theatre. I started to watch it and was dying half way through the movie, then my neighborhood had a black out so I coudnt finish it that night.. The next day I told my brother how funny it was and that I liked it so much I wanted to finish it off in the theatre. I never actually made it to the theatre but did finish the DVD the next day. I really liked it and found it to be hilarious, however, I can see why someone wouldn't like it. The story doesn't really go anywhere but hey, it entertained me and made me laugh. Also the screener copy I have is different from the actual released DVD you can buy... The screener has a totally different ending... J-Lo isn't really Ricki. She's Rickies roommate, and she isn't a contractor. So all along Ben is listening to her with advice (The cutting off the thumb) and she has never even done anything like this... From what I remember, she just spoke to the boss over the phone and he assumed she was Ricki and she went with it. The official movie has her really being a contractor. Also in the screener, there's a scene where Ben baseball bats some guys car. That was pretty cool. I like the screener better but both versions are hilarious. Not for everyone but certainly for me.

Head Above Water (1996)

I love this movie

This movie has got to be one of the greatest movies I ever seen. This is a true work of art. All the movies today are all big budget with their big effects and people are forgetting the most important part of a movie is the story which HEAD ABOVE WATER is very strong in. The characters are great. Keitel is awesome. Diaz is hilarious with her facial expressions. The movie keeps you guessing and laughing all the way through and only gets better as the story unfolds. It has a twist that you never see coming. The writing is great. And another thing I find interesting is how a story with only 3 people in it can hold the attention of the audience. That says something great about the writer. HEAD ABOVE WATER is a story and character driven movie that I'd recommend to anyone!
